Never trust a former federal prosecutor. Now and then an honest one slips through, but that rule is right 90% of time. Feds will gladly frame people if it gets them a press release. They are politicians. Billions (the show) is actually really accurate on that.
FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith fabricated evidence in a FISA warrant because that’s normal. He never expected to get caught, and wouldn’t have if Devin Nunes hadn’t dug.
Clinesmith didn’t go to prison though.

Years ago a report came out showing that even in cases where Federal Judges reported prosecutorial by Feds, DOJ covered it up. Feds don’t get disbarred either.

If you’re called for jury duty, you should assume that every FBI agent and federal prosecutor is as honest as the ones who filled out and signed the FISA Warrant applications.. That’s the reality. You don’t want to accept it, but nothing happened there to those liars.
