This is the story when Dushyanta met Shakuntala .Maharaj Dushyant began to like her. Dushyant was in confusion that she is the Daughter of Mahrshi Kanva{Because she lived in Kavashram} and therefore she is a brahmin.

King Dushyant said:- My mind does not dwell towards any other girl than that of a kshatriya " O soft - spoken { shakuntala ) you must know that I have full control over my heart , but I'm having affection towards you . Hence , you're a Kshatriya's daughter Tell me who are you ?

"My heart can't be attracted towards a brahmin Girl" then they found out she is the daughter of Vishvamitra and Menka{ A kshatriya}

This story is Found in Mahabharata and Abhigyan Shakuntalam

न मेऽन्यत्र क्षत्रियाया मनो जातु प्रवर्तते । तस्मात्प्रणिहितात्मानूं विद्दि माँ कलभाषिणि ।।
यस्यां में त्वयि भावोऽस्ति क्षत्रिया ह्यसि का वदा ।।
न हि मे भीरु विप्रायां मनः प्रसहते गतिम् । ( Mahabharata , Adi parva , chapter 92 )

Seeing& treating the girls of other caste as your sisters and mothers can bring unity too. But Sanghis have to pollute every Varna,they can't imagine any other stable relations bw Stri and Purush other than Marriage.
This thought seem too impossible to them.
