Bill Cosby admitted to everything he was criminally convicted of in a civil deposition. His victim sued him, and in his deposition, he admitted to drugging her and sexually assaulting her. He did this because he believed that this evidence would not be used against him.
The prosecutor at the time told him he would not be prosecuted. But years later, a new prosecutor picked up the case and decided to follow through on prosecution using the statements that Cosby made during the civil deposition.

Imagine making Juneteenth a federal holiday when laws are being enacted all over the country that will prevent people from being taught why it's a holiday.
What Black people have experienced in America isn't so much progress as it is gaslighting with a side of placating.
We keep being told that America isn't racist as America continues to do things that prove it is indeed racist, and when we speak out, we get Juneteenth as a federal holiday at the same time many states are making illegal to talk about how racist America is.
So, based on the current testimony, the owner/manager of the store escalated the issue with the alleged fake $20 bill to the police. The young store clerk, a young black man, had offered to just pay for the purchase out of his own pocket. His boss refused.
Now we here.
I'm pointing this out to make another point: People often weaponize the police against Black folks simply to make a point or put us in our "place."
The clerk testified that the rule in the store is if they take a fake bill, they are responsible for it and have to pay out of their own pocket if it happens.
The boss sent them out of the store twice to try and get Floyd and his friend to come back in.
