How You Can Learn 76% Faster.

All You Need is a Rubber Duck and 4 Simple Steps...

A Guide to the Feynman Technique.

(THREAD)
25% of students fail to graduate high school on time.

To add to that, 33% never read another book after graduation.

Peoples' minds aren't broken.

The schooling system is.

That's why I'm going to teach you the method of the greatest educator the world has ever known...
Step 1: Grab Pen and Paper

Physically taking notes stimulates your brain's hippocampus.

(The part responsible for memory and learning).

On paper, write down the concept you want to learn at the top.
Step 2: Explain It Like They're 5

Take what you're learning and simplify it on paper.

Cover the different angles.

• What is it?
• How does it work?
• Why is it important?

Draw examples and use simple words.

If a 5 year old can't understand it, you don't understand it.
Bonus Tip

While on a coaching call with @psypreneur

He mentioned a way to visualize this concept

Grab a rubber duck (yes, that's right)

Explain the concept in simple terms to it

This is a great way to work through problems and build understanding

Just don't do it in public
@Psypreneur Step 3: Review

After explaining, review what you wrote:

• Where did you blank?
• What didn't you understand?

Take note of this and go back to the source material.

Start filling in your knowledge gaps.
@Psypreneur Step 4: Refine

With new understanding, you can start refining.

If there's a simpler term, write it.
If there's an easier picture, draw it.
If there's a better layout, organize it.

Think of yourself as a sculptor.

Chip away at the excess and you'll be left with a masterpiece.
@Psypreneur To summarize the Feynman Technique:

Step 1: Grab Pen and Paper
Step 2: Explain It Like They're 5
Step 3: Review
Step 4: Refine

Bonus Tip: Talk to a rubber ducky
@Psypreneur I know this man gets tagged an absurd amount

But thank you @naval

You introduced me to Feynman and his books when I was 20 years old

It has fundamentally changed how I learn forever

I hope you all apply what's in this thread and get the same value

1. "Don't Buy $4 Coffees"

You're not paying $4 for a coffee.

You're paying for an environment that:

• Helps you focus
• Keeps you accountable
• Frees you from distraction

You'll make your money multiple times over because of this.

The coffee is just a bonus.

How a Rocket Launcher, Backpack, and 91 days in Asia Changed My Life Forever

10 Reasons Why You Need To Buy a Plane Ticket and Disappear
At age 19 I was working 84 hour weeks

Making good money but losing my soul

I also had recently lost my mom to a drug overdose

I needed a change

So I bought a backpack and booked a plane ticket to Asia

It was the best decision of my life

Here's why...
1. Deprogram

Society wants to trap you

You go to school to get a job you don't like

So you can buy things you don't need

To impress people that don't care

Stepping off that plane in a foreign land separates you from it all

It gave me perspective on how brainwashed I was

My father chose smoking crack over raising his sons.

I had to teach myself masculinity to overcome weakness and anxiety.

Here are 6 lessons I learned about becoming a man.

/THREAD/
If you grew up without a positive male role model, you have to find it through other means:

• Books
• Friends
• Coaches
• Podcasts
• Accounts like @SaveYourSons and @pathtomanliness

Just because you're born without a father, doesn't mean you have to grow up without one.
@SaveYourSons @PathToManliness Having sex with a lot of women doesn't make you masculine.

It's a form of validation.

Men that are lost do this because they don't have a purpose.

Masculinity comes from defining your values and building a world that reflects them.

How to hack peoples' brains and make them read your writing.

3 easy tips you can start using today.

-THREAD-
1. Create "Open Loops"

Open loops are gaps in stories that our brains want to fill.

Think of cliffhangers in your favourite show that make you watch the next episode.
"After today, the world will never be the same..."

"The 1 reason why your business is failing..."

Both sentences create tension.

You're forced to continue reading if you want to relieve it.

Use open loops in your headlines and you're guaranteed to engage more readers.

1. Constant Motivational Content

You're a junkie waiting for your next fix.

"Just one more video, then I'll start..." you tell yourself.

Reliant on YouTube dopamine dealers to get anything done.

But you never do.

The only rehab is discipline.
2. Self Deprecating Memes

It's become a contest of who's the most:

• Broke
• Stupid
• Anxious
• Depressed

You think you're joking but your subconscious thinks otherwise.

The brain needs consistency.

It manifests the identity you give it.

Before starting, understand:

Leverage is everything.

And comes in different forms.

• Social:

Your network multiplies your opportunities.

• Knowledge:

Your skills multiply your pay.

• Monetary:

The money you invest multiplies your wealth.
1) Understand Your Why.

You will face adversity.
You will question yourself.
You will face times of despair.

But your reason will keep you going.

Financial independence to pursue a meaningful life was mine.
