This has been AMAZING for entire communities, (prob soon countries), as they're finding ways to earn more than a full time salary. coindesk.com/nft-game-filip…
7/ The game has gone from 15,700 Daily Active Citizens on Jan 1st.
To 295,000 as of July 1st!
An increase of 1778%
The actual game is insanely fun to play.
8/ There are now scholarship programs where managers let players borrow Axies to battle against others.
And share in the revenue.
Axies are $150 - $500, a hefty start up costs for some countries.
So it works.
People are CRUSHING it, (5-6 figures monthly), running these.
9/ So Investors can buy
- $AXS token, (governance/ecosystem)
- Early Origin Axies, (capped at ~3,000)
- Early Mystic Axies, (capped at ~ 1,000)
- Items, land, etc
and players can buy,
- $SLP, items, Axies, land to increase their way to earn in game.
An interesting separation
10/ With land gameplay yet to come into play to provide more ways to make money playing the game,
Axie Infinity seems like it's actually going to do it.
A great case study for what "blockchain gaming" means or what this new age of games allows.
Time = Money.
11/ In Summary.
- Axie Infinity is growing a game built on mad fun AND earning $ for time spent.
- Is investible through $AXS token, early/capped Axies like Origin, Mystic Axies, etc.
- Provides rev models for Axie breeders, scholars, managers, etc.
And is just badass af.
12/ This is why I like long term projects.
Dropping an NFT project is one thing,
Dedicating a team, millions in funding, years, reputation, to build it out is entirely different.
Even raising $ from the likes of @mcuban so they can continue building.
