In #Arizona, 526 new COVID cases and 22 additional deaths were reported today... there are also 136 patients hospitalized in ICUs across the state because of COVID. Only 40% of the population is fully vaccinated. The pandemic is far from over. ktar.com/story/4540412/…

In Pagosa Springs #Colorado a Walmart had to be closed b/c of a growing outbreak - so far 10 employees have COVID, of which 6 are unvaccinated; 2 vaxxed; the last two are 🤷🏽. Many unvaccinated employees are awaiting test results. pagosasun.com/2021/07/01/cov…

Can you get infected with COVID if you're vaccinated? YES, however it's not likely to be severe - and that's very important.

Pfizer & Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are 94% effective against COVID-19 hospitalization among fully vaccinated adults.
Excellent visual contact tracing diagram from an app of an outbreak in Singapore, which shows that vaccinated and asymptomatic patients with COVID can still infect others. More examples in the thread and app.
Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines was 94% effective against COVID-19 hospitalization among fully vaccinated adults and 64% effective among partially vaccinated adults *aged ≥65 years.
