It’s important!

While we reel in shock and horror about residential schools and indigenous people’s oppression, these issues continue to plague our political system.

And yes, they are all related in the political big picture.

If you want to be informed, you need to put the effort in to know the issues and how the system that oppresses indigenous people works to keep incomes low, misinform the electorate and provide privilege for the few who claim top status of the imposed hierarchy.

Thanks Amy for providing a peek at your larger project.

The system which controls our daily lives is complex and multifaceted.

There are no simple solutions or quick changes that will end systemic bias.

But it is a construct, not a physical barrier to change.

Mental constructs are the system we are up against. This is what holds us back from systemic change.

Legitimization of corruption that enables the established patriarchal hierarchy. That’s the system that requires our collective attention.

Learning how these systems are constructed and maintained provides the knowledge base and opportunity to deconstruct those systems and replace them with constructs which support and sustain our society and every person within it.

Manipulation of perception is the tool being used to remove societal norms and polarize the population. Only possible by a lack of comprehension on how disinformation & provocation is performed.

If you want to change the world, first you must understand how it’s constructed.

Then, and only then can you alter the variables that contribute to social structure and belief systems.

That’s what is commonly and colloquially referred to as being “woke.”

Awareness is your weapon in the current battle for social justice.

Keeping the populace agitated, emotionally distraught, polarized and full of hate is the main weapon used to block awareness of corruption and the reinforcement of the mental constructs that keep the patriarchal hierarchy and its restriction of privilege to the wealthy few.

Awareness doesn’t lead to violence.

Awareness doesn’t produce hatred.

Awareness doesn’t motivate people to vote.

Awareness creates the knowledge base and comprehension of the system we wish to change.

If you find yourself full of rage, apathetically demoralized, overwhelmed with grief, profoundly repulsed, you’re being kept in the dark. You’re not capable of awareness when your emotions are blocking the incorporation of new information and promote entrenched beliefs.

You’re not able to think critically or assess the veracity of information when you’re intensely emotionally engaged.

Rage, disgust & apathy are all emotions that inspire in strategic passion, imposition of moral absolutism, or political disengagement from knowledge & awareness.

Emotions and critical thought are conducted by different parts of the brain.

The manipulator’s best weapon is to engage the population in emotionally charged interactions. Because it’s incredibly difficult or near impossible to think critically.

If you want to be aware, knowledgeable and able to impact systemic change, controlling your emotional reactions is step one.

Step two is seeking well researched information that reveals the mental constructs we call systemic disadvantage.

Be the change you want to see.

Stop reacting in outrage, dejection or revulsion.

Or at the very least, learn to separate your emotions from your search for and incorporation of knowledge that builds your awareness.

Amy’s research and documentation are high quality, thorough and informative.

Her efforts are to increase our awareness of how the system that oppresses most of us works.
