1/ As I reflected on the life & passing of the late, Dr. Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo whilst commemorating 22 years since his death on the 1st of July 1999, it occurred to me that we have neglected to fully recognise either his birthday or the day he transitioned from this earth
2/ This is despite the fact Dr. Nkomo was known as “Father Zimbabwe” and a founding member of the struggle. It would therefore be a befitting honour to declare the 1st of July a public holiday in recognition of this giant of Africa & advocate for peace and unmatched revolutionary
3/ What is the purpose of calling him Father Zimbabwe when his legacy is only reflected by his statue in Bulawayo or having a few roads and airport named after him? After all the late RGM’s birthday has been recognised too. Let us duly honour this selfless leader accordingly
4/ In my capacity as a legislator, I will be passing such a motion in Parly @ParliamentZim
5/ I have begun preparing the draft accordingly

1/ Good morning and welcome to The Matanga Files Part 2: As you’re well aware, I previously exposed Commissioner General Matanga’s (CGM) flouting of PRAZ regulations in the purchase of police vehicles. The matter has been reported and we await the outcome @ZACConline@praz_zw
2/ Here we are again, part 2 which again involves vehicles, both police and private but this time the repair and maintenance of. It is alleged that CGM is known to often drive inebriated thus being involved in various RTAs that are swept under the rug,
3/ I’ve never personally had the opportunity to conduct breathalysers so I’ll just leave that there. However let’s take a look at today’s allegations with the corresponding evidence….
4/ Parly conducted a thorough job in unbundling the alleged USD3 billion corruption scandal he was said to have benefited from, from Command Agriculture. The perceived amount of 3 billion was actually far less and all was satisfactorily accounted for as we await the final report
5/Concerns like this should be brought to Parliament if not other channels. Why are we ignoring how the white cartels capture Govt? Do you know Serge Levy’s Univern Enterprises literally controls the entire transport sector? This has been in existence long before the 2nd Republic
6/ In a way @zinaraZW is a subsidiary of Univern; it’s unheard of! How much do they make? They’re also implicated in the Auditor General’s reports, let’s talk about that. Corruption is wrong, but let’s substantiate it and do something rather than gossip about it
1/ A good decision by the Speaker and @ParliamentZim As legislators, we must be in the forefront of compliance to lockdown measures to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.
2/ As directed, MPs can use this opportunity to go to the ground in their constituencies, especially those who’ve never and galvanise Govt’s efforts to encourage and create awareness on the need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as well as on the enhanced lockdown measures
3/ However this initiative must be implemented in a controlled and safe environment to prevent virus transmission. It is said that the Delta variant is more virulent and possibly remains airborne for a period, therefore gatherings as directed by @edmnangagwa must not be convened
1/ We must have the culture of expecting responses by Govt. Ministers from @edmnangagwa SONAs. In the SONA, the President articulates his vision and we need to understand what measures will be employed to implement the vision. Govt Ministers are the foot soldiers
2/However it seems many of these Ministers are so useless they’re not even aware they must respond. In the 8thParly, probably only 2Ministers responded. 1 was @nqo_nn Hon. MangalisoNdlovu, who’s done well, in the 9thParly, no one has to date. I’m glad the Speaker’s pushed for it
3/Section 107 of theConstitution is very clear in that the VP and Ministers must be accountable to Parly; this is important. But they’ve failed to do that and it doesn’t portray a good picture as well a being disrespectful to the appointing authority, the President, as well as
1/This thread will expose police capture, and as I continue, evidence will be produced on this issue and on how corrupt the Commissioner General of Police, Matanga, is. It’s no wonder we can’t deal with corruption when the top cop is involved in this and many other corrupt deals.
2/This is just another case as I’ve highlighted some before, and the evidence will come through.
Here we have an issue involving USD2million dollars which was stopped in Budapest, Hungary. It was the Drax payment for covid-19 PPEs which was valued at no more than USD200k
3/ It’s the same Drax matter which led to the former Health Minister, Dr. Obadiah Moyo’s arrest and firing from office. It also involves Nguwaya, where it’s alleged there’s no case.
The inflated amount of USD2million was sent from ZimTreasury to pay for goods worth USD200k.
1/ A great coach and central defender in his time, Misheck was a marvel to watch. I worked with him with the Warriors when he was the Head Coach and Gibson Homela was the TD and the team’s fitness levels were the highest ever achieved.
2/I enjoyed the experience of being in camp under his lead as he was strict&majored in ensuring things were done in an orderly fashion. Unfortunately, whilst such legends contribute immensely to our country, their passing exposes the lack of national contribution to their welfare
3/ @KirstyCoventry what are we doing as a country to celebrate and acknowledge such greats during their lifetimes? In other counties these are the veterans of the sporting arena. We must come up with our Heroes Acre for these sporting veterans
