Habits of Self Made Millionaires

• They track net worth
• They continually learn
• They take calculated risks
• They automatically invest
• They help others succeed
• Understand how taxes work
• Understand assets vs liability

What else?
1. They track net worth

You need to need to think of everything from a net-worth perspective. To me, it’s the most important statistic that defines wealth.

This month our net worth increased over 63K, not the best but every month it gets a bit easier. Image
2. They continually learn

Wealthy people always continue learning. Knowledge is always the best investment because you will continually reap the rewards. When you begin to go down this path of self-improvement it will impact your ROI in every avenue of life. Image

The 12 Greatest Quotes about Fatherhood

(and why)

// THREAD
1. “When I was 14, my father was so ignorant I couldn't stand to have him around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much he had learned in 7 years.” - Mark Twain

Children think they know everything, but once you become a man you realize how wise your father was.
2. “Every father should remember that his son will follow his example, not his advice.” –Charles Kettering

When raising children remember that actions speak louder than words. You need to be the example.

If I have one piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to forgive their parents. If I have a second, it's to stop watching the news.
If I have a third piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to not be afraid to fail. If I have a fourth, it's to choose your partner wisely (the biggest financial decision you will make).
If I have a fifth piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to question everything you have been told. If I have a sixth, it's to learn how to say no.

What schools should teach

• How to think, not what to think.
• Learn from your mistakes.
• Self-improvement is a good thing.
• How to adopt a growth mindset.
• Life is bigger than a test score.
How to think, not what to think

I taught public school for 20 years. The system tells you what to think, not how to think.
(it's easier that way)

You will not achieve much in life by accepting what schools “teach” you because schools want you smart enough to follow orders.
Self-improvement is a good thing

Putting yourself first is often viewed as a selfish act in today’s society. But, it is the opposite.

You need to invest in yourself first before you can give to others. If you do not, you will have nothing to give. Improvement is a selfless act.

I've been teaching public school for 20 years and today is my last day of work.

All because I started a Twitter account.
I started this account when I became a millionaire. I decided I was going to live for more than just money.

Most people hit 7-figures and are content.

This is a mistake.

Financial independence is where life begins.
I started my Twitter journey a little over a year ago. I never imagined that it would lead to me leaving my job.

If you had told me that you can make 6-figures online I would have called you crazy. I didn't even know how to write a Tweet.

If I can do it, you can do it.

7 More lessons for young men:

1 Appreciate nature
2 Learn how to say NO
3 Adopt a growth mindset
4 Have high standards in life
5 Never take your family for granted
6 The optimistic are the most successful
7 It's okay to take a break...
1 Appreciate nature

Enjoy Nature. Go on a pointless walk. Soak in the sunshine. You were put on Planet Earth for a reason.

Enjoy your time here. Trust me. Image
2 Learn how to say NO

The moment you start saying yes to everything is the moment you live on others people's terms.

Stop letting others dictate your life.
Learn how to say no.
Make your life your priority. Image
