NEXT TIME THINK BEFORE GOING TO DELHI HAAT ( long thread but it might just save you )
We were deep inside Sanjay Van forest of Delhi. Tears rolled down the eyes of Deepak , as he blindfolded her and tied her to the tree. “ This is the only way to save my daughter “.
PI held him tight - “ I can’t help you if you don’t tell me everything from the beginning . When did all of this start “ . Deepak sat down under the same tree where he had tied her.
He wiped his tears - “ It was a Sunday just like any other . Me , wife and my daughter Divya
First went to Sarojini Nagar market to buy ek turi ka lahsun ( single pod garlic ) for my mother’s knee pain . It was Divya who found it for her grandmother , it’s only available at 1-2 places in entire Delhi . She loved her so much
Then we went to INA market
To buy some cutlery and glasses and then to Delhi haat . Divya bought some stuff , generally roamed around and were back home by dinner time .
This is when all of this started .
Divya went to her room to keep the shopping bags , came and sat on the dinning table
She then suddenly sat on the floor and demanded that food be served to her on the floor . We did just to play along . The moment the food was served , she began eating like a wild animal . Like she had not eaten for months .
Divya usually eats like a sparrow .
She takes one roti and keeps sitting with it but here she was eating with both hands . Sometimes just licking the plate directly with mouth while moving her eyes in all directions as if someone will take away all this food from her .
When I tired to stop her , she held
My hand , pushed me and growled at me . I was shocked .
As she was eating there was short circuit in the street light outside and sparks flew . It was very normal . But Divya let out blood curling scream . Closed her eyes and ears as if something horrific was happening to her
As if she was in pain .
Although the screams were coming out of Divya’s mouth . It was not Divya’s !
The voice was of somebody else . I still remember . I was stunned standing there. Whose voice was that ? My entire family was stunned . It was that different .
After that she suddenly was normal . And did not remember any part of last 1 hour . She was just surprised that we were eating sitting on the floor and she surprisingly felt very very full .
I took her to the room to tuck her in
The moment we entered her room
It was in a mess . Divya looked at me with surprised look “ I did not do this papa , I had kept all my dolls and toys in cupboard “ . All the toys were strewn outside the cupboard in the room .
I collected all the toys from the room and put them in the storage hamper
Opened the door of the cupboard , kept the hamper inside and closed the door of the cupboard .
The door did not move an inch . I pushed hard again . Nothing . I pushed and pushed until my arms were paining . Nothing .
I took the toy hamper out of cupboard
Before I could turn back again to try closing the door , it closed on its own .
Not only closed but there was click and it was locked .
All on its own .
Just to make sure Divya felt safe . I sat on the chair in her room after tucking her in . I dozed off
It must have been few hours when I woke up with strong smell .
“ Divya “ . I screamed, horrified as I closed my eyes and hurried out of the room calling my wife
Divya was crouched in the corner of the room , pants down , peeing right there in the room .
I told everything to
Wife and as she rushed in the room . Divya was sleeping on the bed as if nothing had happened . She woke with all the commotion- “ ewww what’s that smell , mummy “ .
I had no idea what was going on . It was like we were living with two Divya ‘s and no there was none of that
Split personality bullshit . We started her counseling as well but the doctor said that he could no see any signs of any mental distress either .
But the things kept getting worst . One day I went in her room at night to see if she was ok . She was up sitting with tail of
Lizard hanging from her mouth . She was eating a live wall lizard ! “ Bhookh” is all she said as she swallowed the entire lizard and went back to sleep .
As usual in the morning she didn’t remember any of it .
Things started getting bad in school as well . She was caught relieving herself in the corner of the classroom . Sometimes she insisted sitting on the floor to study .
One day she was caught eating specimens in the bio lab . We were asked to pull her out .
More strange things started happening . Everyday we found some of her dolls and toys completely disfigured strewn around the house until there were none left
Then one night as per usual habit I went to check on Divya at night . Her room is at the end of corridor . As I was walking the corridor - the door to her room opened on its own as if somebody pushed it . There was no one . Then my eyes moved to the floor .
There was this doll crawling on the floor . I literally watched her crawling from corridor through the door and inside the room . It pushed through the cupboard , went inside and the door of the cupboard closed . I was sick to my stomach . It looked like this
“ Where did you get that cloth doll ?” .I asked Divya . I have not seen this ever in the house .
“ I got it from Delhi haat the other day “ .
I immediately picked up the doll and threw it in the sewer few miles away from the house and hoped it was end of it .
Before I reached home , my wife called me - “ Come soon. It’s Divya . Please come soon “ .
The door to her room was closed and she was screaming . Again not in her voice but that same voice .
No matter what we did , the door did not open . I peeped through the key hole
The doll was sitting in Divya’s lap .
I rushed to Dilli haat to that shop where we had picked up the doll . The shop was filled with exactly same dolls . First the owner refused outrightly . When threatened tears started rolling down his eyes and he told me everything
The doll belonged to her daughter who was devoted mentally ill “ Pagal” and kept locked and chained inside a room . The local quack regularly gave electric shocks . The doll was the only company she had .
That girl died of electric shock but she didn’t cross over
and stayed with the doll . That explained the fear of electricity , the hunger , eating anything available , relieving herself in the same room she lived
It all made sense
I begged him . " Ask her to leave my daughter"
" She will leave when she has to , no one can make her leave " .
" There has to be some way . Please . I beg of you " .
There is only one way - " Make lot of food so your daughter comes out of the room to eat.
At that particular moment , take the doll , blindfold it and tie it to a tree deep inside some woods " . She will not come back .
At first I did not believe her but then I researched on the internet and found that there were similar things done in Singapore once to a
possessed doll . It was blindfolded , Allah was written on her blind fold and she was tied to a tree to free her .
And so here we are . I did not wanted to do this alone so called you.
I was silent , I didn't know what to do . We left the doll tied to tree next to Neela Hauz
Divya was not troubled again . But Sanjay Van was haunted forever . But thats a different story for a different day .
I didn’t take any picture of the that doll but it looked like Singapore one blondfolded and tied to tree

NOBODY BELIEVED THE STORY OF MY SCARS , WILL YOU ?
I have 10s of these scars and this is the story of these scars
Deepak and I grew up together . We were born in the same colony , went to the same school and were always together . I was 1 year elder to him but we were pretty much joined at the hip .
When we were around 10 , Deepak’s parents were expecting another kid .
I still remember the day Sneha was born . Deepak’s dad came to give us sweets in the morning and in the evening , they were sobbing at our house . Within few hours of birth , somebody had bitten off her finger . Yes , in the hospital . With everyone around
Have you ever seen this boy roaming at Sarojini Nagar market after midnight ?
The year was 1992 . My dad was transferred to Sarojini Nagar govt school. The school is right before the the market. We were allocated govt flat
which was just across the road from the school . Since my dad was to be posted in school for few years , I also took transfer to the same school .
I still remember it was a Sunday when we shifted to the house . The house did not lose any time in telling us that we were
not welcome in it . There was no slow burn . It was on our faces from the moment we stepped in only we did not realized it .
As is the tradition when you enter new house , my mother went to the kitchen to boil the milk . She poured milk in the pateela and turned on the burner
PARANORAL STORIES IN INDIAN ARMY : Paranormal army stories is a genre of its own especially in Japan and US . India also has its own share of such tales told over of what is called " Langar Gupp"
I will start with the most famous one.
The protector of Nathu La Pass, Sikkim:
Nathu La Pass is mountain pass between Tibet and Sikkim where many battles took place between the Indian Army and the PLA during the 1965 Sino-Indian war. During one of these battles , a 22 year old Jawan drowned in a glacier while leading a column of mules
carrying supplies to a remote outpost. Even after 3 days his remains were not found . Legend has it that another soldier had a dream in which the martyred soldier told him the location where the remains of the body were and also that even after death he will remain
WHEN I WAS SIX , MY FRIEND VANISHED FROM HIS BATHROOM - WAS NEVER FOUND
Story goes back about 30 years . My friend Hitansh's family had moved to a very nice, newly build bungalow in Hauz Khas . The Mishra's (Father Abhay and Mother Kusum) had made their money supplying medical
equipment to nearby AIIMS and safdarjung and few other hospitals and a bunglow in Hauz Khas was a perfect announcement of their arrival on Delhi's social circuit.
One fine spring day in March , after our exams they moved into the house . It was perfect , other than the
fact that it smelled very heavily of phenyl . At first they ignored it, thinking it just the initial cleaning smell and will go away . But even after few days , the smell refused to leave . They checked every corner of the house but could not locate the source .
DON’T , JUST DON’T HANG OUT UNDER THIS TREE AT DWARKA SECTOR 9 METRO STATION ( long thread)
Dwarka is one of the sub cities of Delhi , developed in late 90s/ early 2000 to cater for affordable housing for middle class . It also developed wide network of metro connectivity.
This story goes back to 2006 . My GF ( now wife) used to stay at Dwarka and every weekend , once the metro station opened in 2006 - I used to hang out at CP during afternoon and take metro to Dwarka to meet her in the evening .
There is one unusual thing I
noticed . As the time progressed , the ecosystem outside metro station ( auto wala , rickshaw wala , chai wala , thelas etc) instead of building up was actually decreasing . After a while especially in the evening there were hardly any people outside the metro station
HAUNTED STORIES OF DELHI : THE GRIEF
Growing up , there was one very peculiar thing in my family that I could never understand. Whenever they were very sad or grieving or with an extremely heavy heart they would go in this room , close the door and sat there ; sometimes for
minutes , sometimes for hours and sometimes for days . They would not eat or sleep when inside the room but when they came out they were calmer and visibly at peace .
Whenever I asked my parents about it they told me that they will let me know the family secret when I turned 21
Finally when I turned 21 , my parents and grandparents took me inside that room. Opened a door and handed me a pen . It was blue in color , with a silver medium nib and no markings or manufacturer name . It was made out of single piece of metal which meant there was no place to
