The disinformation on Cuba is so blatant: Pro-war, neoliberal British newspaper The Guardian used a photo of Cubans rallying with the July 26 flag (the name of the revolutionary movement founded by Fidel Castro) and falsely claimed they're "anti-government protesters"
Fake news!

More fake news on Cuba: This corporate media outlet in Puerto Rico is using a photo of Cubans rallying in support of the revolution with the July 26 Movement flag, and falsely claiming they are "anti-government"
The @guardian (of Blairism) has quietly corrected its fake news, admitting that the photo it published of people rallying in Cuba were actually PRO-government, not anti-government as it had falsely claimed before. theguardian.com/global-develop…

This (very small) protest in Cuba is part of another US-backed astroturfed "color revolution" (read: regime-change) attempt, led by right-wing activists funded by the US government through CIA cutouts.
But there's a massive global propaganda campaign amplifying this tiny protest
That these US govt-backed regime-change operatives & their PR flacks in corporate media are claiming Cuba's highly funded socialist health care system is supposedly inadequate shows how cynical imperialist propaganda is, while the privatized US health hellscape bankrupts millions
Even this propagandist for US govt mouthpiece the NY Times, in her lie-filled article, admits there are only "hundreds" of Cubans participating in the tiny US-backed protests
And of course she only mentions the suffocating, criminal US blockade in passing
The 28 mercenaries suspected of killing Haiti's president include 26 Colombians, some former soldiers trained by the US, and 2 US citizens linked to rival Haitian oligarchs who had a falling out with Jovenel Moïse
The US government has a long history of supporting reactionary authoritarian leaders when they serve its interests, but turning on them when they're no longer useful -- like Panama's Noriega, DR's Trujillo, Iraq's Saddam, and possibly Haiti's Jovenel Moïse
The operation in Haiti is now so obvious: after US-trained mercenaries assassinated the president, the unelected right-wing US puppet appointed "interim prime minister," Claude Joseph, is openly calling for another US military occupation of the country apnews.com/article/busine…
For the 29th year in a row, basically the entire world voted at the United Nations against the illegal, murderous US blockade on Cuba.
184 countries voted to end the US blockade.
Only 2 voted for it: the USA and Israel.
3 US client regimes abstained: Colombia, Ukraine, and UAE
Every year, practically every single country on Earth votes against the criminal US blockade on Cuba.
The only nations that vote in support of it -- Washington and its 51 state Israel -- are the true rogue regimes, that spit on international law and norms thegrayzone.com/2015/10/29/rog…
The US rogue regime and its colonial outpost Israel are consistently the only countries in the world to vote against pro-peace, pro-human policies -- such as UN resolutions calling for a nuclear weapons-free Middle East and to stop an outer space arms race thegrayzone.com/2019/11/08/us-…
100%. The soft-imperialist Global North fake "left" demonizes Nicaragua precisely because it defeated the US-backed 2018 coup, and is now preventing the possibility of a Nicaraguan Juan Guaidó.
Social chauvinist purists only support the left when it loses power and is victimized
Much of the North American "left" is obsessed with purity (although it has never had power), and only supports socialist movements when they're in opposition or overthrown, but demonizes them when they defeat attacks by imperialism and keep governing, like Nicaragua and Venezuela
The sad truth is many of the "leftists" demonizing Nicaragua (and Venezuela) today would have done the same to Salvador Allende when he was actually in power, trying to govern despite US economic warfare.
Before the CIA coup, Allende was attacked for not being "pure" enough
A bunch of liberal imperialist academics signed an open letter supporting right-wing US-funded coup-plotters in Nicaragua, smearing its elected Sandinista government.
Many of the academics who signed the new pro-coup letter attacking Nicaragua also signed this absurd lie-filled letter on Ecuador, including Western govt-funded Manuela Picq, wife of the fake "left" candidate Yaku Pérez who helped elect a right-wing banker thegrayzone.com/2021/03/01/aca…
Another signatory joining prominent radlib academics in attacking Nicaragua is Oscar Rene Vargas, who openly called for a "coup d'etat," for a US military invasion leading to a "Noriega-style exit," and for mobs to murder President Ortega and hang his body thegrayzone.com/2021/06/12/cou…
