Conservative ideology does accommodate radical revolution — accommodate paradigm change.
Conservatism 101
1. Good things: conserve them 2. Gone wrong: try 2 reform them 3. Gone crazy, no longer recognizable: Separate from, or replace them.
Some argue, (I agree) that The American Revolution was in many ways a - conservative - revolution!
It appealed to earlier documents about the rights of man, natural rights, etc, claiming King George violated these established norms.
The argument: The American Revolution sought a return to those norms — norms that King George had obviously violated.
Conservatives are suspicious of radical change. So, total paradigm change is resisted because of the potential for greater chaos and unforseen occurrences
But, it can wage revolution, too!
It just takes a longer time.
But, when it happens — it leaves such a powerful mark.

The most powerful revolution is a cultural one, and a black conservative revolution (mindful of the past) IS a most POWERFUL thing.
