😳”Increasingly, this is the world that the term ‘evangelical voter’ refers to—not white-haired Southern Baptists,” but a younger more diverse world “drawn to leaders who believe they are igniting a new Great Awakening,” whose “epicenter is Texas.” 1/ washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/07…
2/ “That is where the pastor wearing the bright-red T-shirt, Landon Schott, had been on the third day of a 40-day fast when he said the Lord told him something he found especially interesting.”
3/ “It was 2017, and he was walking the streets of downtown Fort Worth asking God to make him a ‘spiritual father’ of the city when he heard God say no. What he needed was ‘spiritual authority,’ he remembered God telling him, and the way to get that..
4/ … was to seek the blessing of a pastor named Robert Morris, an evangelical adviser to Trump, and the founder of one of the largest church networks in the nation, called Gateway, with nine branches and weekly attendance in the tens of thousands…
5/ … including some of the wealthiest businessmen in Texas.”
6/ “Morris blessed him. Not long after that, a bank blessed him with the funds to purchase an aging church…Soon, the old red carpet was being ripped up. The old wooden pews were being hauled out.”
“The cross on the stage was removed, and in came a huge screen, black and white paint, speakers, lights and modern chandeliers as the new church called Mercy Culture was born.” 7/
“Mercy” for undeserved grace.
“Culture” for the world they wanted to create. 8/
BREAKING NEWS. “[Ballot image] Audit of 2020 Election in Volusia County [Florida] Reveals Flaws in [ES&S] Voting System.” h/t Ray Lutz & @susanpynchon1. 1/
“Equipment Vendor Elections Systems & Software should explain these security and quality issues.”
“Transparency award to be presented to Volusia Election Supervisor Lisa Lewis and Staff” 2/
The audit was conducted by Citizens Oversight, a nonprofit founded by Ray Lutz. Yes, I consider Lutz trustworthy. I interviewed him here. I’m not affiliated with his organization but know Ray through the election integrity community. 3/
Before the 2000 election, Katherine Harris used a faulty felon list to illegally purge between 1100 & 12k properly registered voters from the voter rolls. This alone may have sufficed to throw the election to Bush who “won” by just 537 votes in Florida. tampabay.com/news/politics/…
Gerrymandering may have beaten voter suppression to the punch. How can we possibly re-win gerrymandered state legislatures?! We NEEDED to control Congress to counteract & survive this semi-cold civil war. We failed bc Manchin & Sinema suck. 1/
I really really recommend that the Democrats check to make sure the GOP didn’t cheat in Senate races. Based on exit polls, it is not obvious either way. We shld just check to make sure bc otherwise we have no other moves. 2/
Based on exit polls, we should have won the senate race in North Carolina - yes, despite the scandal. It was close. We shld check. Ditto Montana. I think I have this right - @JonathanSimon14 3/
First, vendors & officials lied about internet connectivity to voting systems. When the lie was exposed, @EACgov promised to ban the modems that enable such connectivity. Then they met privately w/ vendors & changed their mind. Now they’ve been sued. 1/ apnews.com/article/busine…
You can see some of the people who lied about internet connectivity in this preelection video that I prepared w/ producer @KateRosenberg4. 2/
.@DNC & @TomPerez owed a fiduciary duty to find out why the totals posted by @nytimes in the Florida House District 26 race (which showed the Democrat had won) differed from the official totals (which showed the GOP won). And to report back to the voters. Why didn’t they? 1/
2/ I’m the first to say that this screenshot does NOT prove fraud. But it absolutely put @DNC on inquiry notice. They owed it to the voters to investigate this and report back.
3/ More bizarreness from the Florida House 26 race.
.@EACgov: In January, I sent u a public records request re: ur preelection investigation of ES&S’s hash validation issues, which impacted up to 19 states. You postponed ur production deadline until May, only 2 postpone it again until October, which is unacceptable. @benhovland 1/
I wrote about what I know of this issue here. You hold the missing pieces, but do not apparently want the public to know about them. 2/whowhatwhy.org/politics/elect…
Please follow the law by producing documents responsive to my request. It’s been more than five months already. Thanks. 3/
