The bond between Queensland & Victoria is much greater than we know. Qld's greatest premier was TJ Ryan. He was a Victorian. He died in office in 1921. So loved by the Qld people, funding was raised to erect this statue. There are no statues to any other Qld premiers. Image

What would Queensland Premier TJ Ryan think now? He'd be along the same lines as Victoria Premier @DanielAndrewsMP & Qld Premier @AnnastaciaMP. I don't think he would be very impressed by the PM or the NSW Premier at this point.

At lunchtime on March 27, national cabinet decided to enforce mandatory quarantine.Vic police didn't want to staff hotels & the then police comm understood it that private security would be used. The AFP were his 1st choice. #springst #auspol #qldpol news.com.au/world/coronavi…
NSW police weren't too keen on the idea of staffing hotels either. Commissioner requested private security. That led to problems but not as severe as in Victoria. #springst #nswpol #auspol #qldpol theguardian.com/australia-news…
