A reminder that there are three men leading the Critical Race Theory hysteria:
Thomas W. Smith, through his foundation
James Piereson, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute
Christopher Rufo
Popular Info details how the Thomas W. Smith Foundation paid Piereson $283,333 to work for 25 hours per week per its last 990. He describes "climate change, income inequality, [and] immigrant rights" as "radical causes."

The Manhattan Institute is the top recipient of cash from The Thomas W. Smith Foundation ($4.32 million from 2017-2019). Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow, claims CRT is an “existential threat to the United States.”

This is International and European Beach Handball regulation attire.

Men wear long shorts, “close-fitting” (ha!) tank tops.

Women must wear bikinis.

The Norwegian Beach Handball Association has been protesting the bikini. They’d prefer to wear shorts. But the sexist European Handball Federation (EHF) would have fined each team member and, reportedly, disqualified them. So they acquiesced.

RULES: Women must wear a tight-fitting midriff top with deep cutaway armholes. The bikini bottom must not exceed 10 centimetres on the side, requiring an upper angle cut at the top of the leg, according to EHF and IHF regulations.

In 1972, Massachusetts Institute for Technology scientists “warned [in Limits to Growth] that limited availability of natural resources relative to rising costs would undermine continued economic growth” about NOW. 🧵
It was ridiculed .

It was validated in 2008 by Australia's federal government scientific research agency CSIRO.

In late May, wildlife managers in Washington D.C., Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia “began receiving reports of sick and dying birds with eye swelling and crusty discharge, as well as neurological signs.”

The most common clinical symptoms include discharge and/or crusting around the eyes, eye lesions, and/or neurologic signs such as falling over or head tremors.

Residents are being asked to take down bird feeders and bird baths (to minimize congregating - physical distancing).

In @USAToday, @JoeTrippi makes the most compelling argument that I have seen for ostracizing authoritarian Trump supporters, calling out their lies & challenging ourselves to think outside of the “two party system” that is the air that we breathe.
TY, Joe. We need you for 2022.
News media leadership need to heed @JoeTrippi’s warning. Trump may not have been elected in 2016 had the political chattering class put democracy over snark and clicks. He lost in 2020 despite news orgs learning little from the prior five years.
The flurry of headlines around Trump’s frivolous and fruitless lawsuits this week illustrate how news organizations continue to treat Trump as though he were credible.
