#RortsCentral. At the risk of sounding anti press, I don't agree with the premis that this was all about marginal seats. I have read the report and looked at the Victorian Seats where the most money was sent. These are those seats

Dunkley is the only one which could be said to be marginal (It fell to Labor) but more because of a redistribution than anything else. In Aston Tudge has a margin of 20270, In Deakin, Sukkar 9307, Kooyong Frydenberg 11289, Menzies, Andrews 14810, Goldstein,Wilson 15480 and

La Trobe,Wood 8863. They had between them 25 Car park schemes allocated. So nothing to do with Marginality. On the other hand I agree with @RonniSalt who thinks that this was a plot hatched in the Prime ministers office by careful evaluation of the best way to win in 2019....

In my opinion it worked like this. Labor had 68 seats at the 2016 Election and the Coalition had 44 Liberal and 23 Liberal national Party in Queensland, so they needed the remaining 10 Nationals seats to win and retain their grubby little hands on the reigns of power, After..

all 44 and 23 make 67, pretty close to labor and the seats which looked the shakiest were the Nationals full of questions about water and sale of non existent licenses. So the Nationals got them over the line. I think this all happened by a central control of the various grants

schemes which were repleat with cash to throw around. It all came out in the Sport's Infrastructure funding, which was topped up by an injection of $100Million, but when other funds are looked at it also shows a huge bias for the Coalition seats and against the labor held ones..

But it gets better, rather than the messaging which says the Coalition were trying to win cross bench seats, they actually gave the cross bench seats so that when they won Government they could achieve confidence and supply. Sound like a fanciful theory to you? Well have a look

at this chart of the Average allocation over about $3 billion worth of grants analysed. The 10 nationals seats stick out like Dog's gonads and so do the Crossbench

I have been working on these grants programs for well over a year now and I have done the maths. Unlike Morrison I also have an Undergraduate degree in business, majoring in marketing, so I am able to spot his game (Not his actually, but some very clever Liberals). In effect what

they have done is to take the Republican (GOP) model from the USA and adapt it to Australia. Using public money instead of that donated by GOP followers. Very clever and devious. Every Grant rort program I have and others have evaluated is published on my website at
