How I became an Airline Pilot, Personal Trainer & Business Owner in under 5 years.

A thread on how discipline & aspiration changed my life:
I've always said anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it.

No one wants to put their mind to it because they're scared.

I've made so many mistakes to get where I am now.

Some small.
Some nearly cost me my life.

But here's how I did it (& how you can too)
The hardest part about getting started is finding direction.

This is frustrating when you have motivation without direction.

You have to start with the end in mind -

Ask yourself questions...
What will my lifestyle be?

Whats the earning potential?

Will I be happy doing that?

Am I being valuable & a good person?

Start asking yourself deep questions & you'll find deep answers.
Fitness for me started as a distraction from personal troubles.

I followed my passion & got qualified.

I was giving 1 to 1 PT sessions at age 17.

But doing this for the rest of my life wasn't what I wanted.

I had always wanted to fly.
So I followed my passion again, diving head first into training, debt, stress and everything else that comes with 18 months of flight training.

By age 20 I was sat at the front of a $90M jet with 200 people on board.

Pretty cool what dedication can get you, huh?
I failed lessons, got lost in the sky, nearly flew through a thunderstorm in AZ (oops)

But you learn from every mistake & they're all part of the process of Mastery.
How did I make this happen? (& how can you)

Relentless desire to achieve.

That's the trick.

If you want something bad enough, you'll do ANYTHING to make it happen.

And that's exactly what success costs.

There is no trick or shortcut.
After a couple of years flying I started to get the feeling of untapped potential.

As grateful as I am - a job is a job.

Selling time for money
Salary
Told what to do & when to do it

I wanted autonomy.

So I looked into starting a business.
Safe to say - I think I've made every mistake possible in business.

Scammed for mentorships (probably cost me over 10k)
Terrible at sales
No offer
Crappy product
MLM (nearly LOL)
Crazy app idea
Unrealistic expectations

There more...lots more... for a thread another time.
I've learnt alot about discipline & mindset through entrepreneurship.

I apply it to my life daily.

Here's a short book to help you clarify your thoughts & develop your mindset...

It's free.

1. Scammed by 'mentorships' (twice)

Was sold the dream by 2 people, believed both of them and handed over a decent amount of money.

Lesson: People will do anything to take your money
Doing things because of money not because of value.

Lesson: Value ALWAYS comes first. If you follow the money people will smell it on you

Here's 9 Reasons Having a 'Good Job' Won't Make You Happy.

Written by a 6-figure salary employee

//Thread
At the age of 20 I achieved my dream job earning over $100k.

2 years later I wanted out ASAP.
1. You have no control over your life.

Got a wedding? Nope.
Friends party? Sorry can't make it.

If a company controls your time, you don't control your life.

How I overcame anxiety & started building a business during the pandemic.

// THREAD //
Around 2 years ago I was in a hole mentally.

Stressed
Unhappy
No direction
Wasn't eating
Panic attacks
Having night terrors 3x a night

But I had the courage to turn it around.
After 6 months of intensive therapy, my mindset had shifted beyond belief.

Write your thoughts out
Speak to people

You'll thank me later

I've met 1000+ different people in the past 4 years.

Here are 8 ways you can build million $ relationships.

** THREAD **
Talk about them -

If you take 1 thing away from this, let it be this.

Everyone's favorite subject is THEMSELVES.

Listen to how many times they use the words "me" & "I".
People LOVE to talk about themselves.

You should ask about THEM.
Mirroring -

Use it to build rapport.

Example.

They say "I just got back from a business trip"

You say "Business trip?" adding a voice inflection.

This allows you the chance to learn more about their situation without breaking rapport.
