Read this to avoid every mistake I've made in business.
I did some stupid sh*t & I don't want you to do the same.
// THREAD //
1. Scammed by 'mentorships' (twice)
Was sold the dream by 2 people, believed both of them and handed over a decent amount of money.
Lesson: People will do anything to take your money
Doing things because of money not because of value.
Lesson: Value ALWAYS comes first. If you follow the money people will smell it on you
Expecting others to give me the answers.
Lesson: No one has all the answers. It's your job to go and figure them out
Not researching ideas before jumping into them.
Lesson: Don't be hot headed going at 100mph for everything. Take your time & be dillegent
Not trusting my instinct with people.
Lesson: Trust your gut always
Not trusting myself.
Lesson: If you don't back yourself, who will?
Trying to find the holy grail.
Lesson: There is no "one thing" that will solve all your problems. Wealth is a process, not an event
Looking for shortcuts.
Lesson: Accept that everyone has to go through the process, enjoy it & stop always wishing for more
Overusing automation.
Lesson: Understand how EVERYTHING works before trying to outsource / automate. I feel like everyone is rushing to have "passive income" they don't even understand how their business works
Sacrificing other areas of my life.
Lesson: Prioritise health & family over everything. No amount of money in the world will replace your health or family
Not being content with where I'm at now.
Lesson: Practicing gratitude daily has changed my life (honestly). Think about 1 thing each day you're grateful for
Expecting instant results.
Lesson: Ignore 99% of the BS you read online about "make 20k/ month in 6 weeks" - this shit is toxic & a lie
Not doing things I found fun.
Lesson: Jumping into a business you hate will make you unhappy fast. Find something you actually get a thrill out of doing, then go help people do it!
I'm sure there's lots of others I've missed. But you've made it to the end so I thank you for that.
