Oh what's that @iampinglacson? You want to be President but can't stomach getting debt? Well, listen up, you're not fit to be top dog if you're not willing to take out loans. PRRD spent the most on infrastructure and social welfare, then there's all the COVID expenses. (1)
Unless you're planning to cut down our much needed infra program which is already 30 yrs behind, and unless you're planning to cut down social welfare spending, our debt will still balloon, even with you as President. Your admin is now challenged to spend more than PRRD did. (2)
Each admin seeks to build an economy bigger than the one they inherited. As our economy grows, our capacity to take out loans also grows because of increased tax revenue. This means that the investments needed to continually keep our economy growing INCREASES every year. (3)
We don't know your economic platform yet, but PRRD made it clear that there's a DIRE NEED for us to improve our infrastructure, so don't you dare try to cancel Buildx3. We don't need another Aquino who cancels projects left and right just because it's from their predecessor. (4)
Now since our economy will keep on growing and growing, obviously, your admin will be burdened to spend more in order to ensure the sustained economic growth. If you can't sleep because "lubog na tayo sa utang", how do you propose we maintain our spending without loans? (5)
Because the only way to maintain spending (without loans) for infrastructure, social services, and other public initiatives is to raise the hell out of taxes. Now you don't want to hurt your rich voter base of low to middle income class noh? (6)
Unless you can tax the living shit out of groups like the Church, media conglomerates like ABS-CBN, the oligarchy and the rest of the elite, the loans stay.
Every world leader is burdened with debt. So if you can't sleep because of it, the Presidency ain't for you. [END]

SPMC GETTING THE LION'S SHARE OF IRM FOR COVID? A thread 🇵🇭👊
The largest public hospital in the Philippines has been under the spotlight for receiving the largest Philhealth reimbursement for COVID-19 response. But why exactly is that the case? Let's see:
-WHAT ARE IRMs AND HOW ARE THEY COMPUTED?-
✅The IRM program allows Philhealth (PHIC) to send hospitals advanced cash aid to respond to unexpected events
✅Per PHIC Circular 2020-007: IRM computation is Ave. Reimbursement/Day from last year x No. of Days Covered
✅On 2018+2019, SPMC contributed on ave. PHP1.2-B/year income to PHIC, translated to PHP113-M/month, or PHP3.76-M/day.
✅Should PHIC cover 90 days, SPMC would get PHP339-M in IRMs -- close to the actual IRM of PHP326-M
✅Higher reimbursement to PHIC = Higher IRM
