SALIENT POINTS OF THE 2021 STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS: A THREAD 🇵🇭👊
✅PRRD starts with a joke: So many beautiful faces that we have to guess to see the full face of the person
✅"I offered changes that are doable such as free education, UHC, the war on drugs, & free irrigation."
✅"The constitution only afforded me 6 years to implement changes."
✅"I was pilloried relentlessly. I did not allow attacks and criticisms to dampen my initiatives because my intentions are pure."
✅PRRD sends his gratitude to all sectors who used their all in the fight against COVID-19.
SALIENT POINTS OF THE JULY 25, 2021 PRRD TALK TO THE PEOPLE: A THREAD 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
✅The address begins with Dr. Edsel Salvana reporting to PRRD about the data and findings regarding Delta variant.
✅Salvana: Delta is more transmissible; we should continue to vaccinate as many people as possible.
✅Dr. Ana Ong-Lim of DOH: There is a need for stricter border control, LGU monitoring of arrivals, and implementing localized lockdowns
✅Ong-Lim: We need to prepare health capacity no matter the quarantine status.
✅Ong-Lim: Disease surveillance is enhanced by genome sequencing
Oh what's that @iampinglacson? You want to be President but can't stomach getting debt? Well, listen up, you're not fit to be top dog if you're not willing to take out loans. PRRD spent the most on infrastructure and social welfare, then there's all the COVID expenses. (1)
Unless you're planning to cut down our much needed infra program which is already 30 yrs behind, and unless you're planning to cut down social welfare spending, our debt will still balloon, even with you as President. Your admin is now challenged to spend more than PRRD did. (2)
Each admin seeks to build an economy bigger than the one they inherited. As our economy grows, our capacity to take out loans also grows because of increased tax revenue. This means that the investments needed to continually keep our economy growing INCREASES every year. (3)
THE PRRD ADMINISTRATION’S MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS: A THREAD 🇵🇭

SPMC GETTING THE LION'S SHARE OF IRM FOR COVID? A thread 🇵🇭👊
The largest public hospital in the Philippines has been under the spotlight for receiving the largest Philhealth reimbursement for COVID-19 response. But why exactly is that the case? Let's see:
-WHAT ARE IRMs AND HOW ARE THEY COMPUTED?-
✅The IRM program allows Philhealth (PHIC) to send hospitals advanced cash aid to respond to unexpected events
✅Per PHIC Circular 2020-007: IRM computation is Ave. Reimbursement/Day from last year x No. of Days Covered
✅On 2018+2019, SPMC contributed on ave. PHP1.2-B/year income to PHIC, translated to PHP113-M/month, or PHP3.76-M/day.
✅Should PHIC cover 90 days, SPMC would get PHP339-M in IRMs -- close to the actual IRM of PHP326-M
✅Higher reimbursement to PHIC = Higher IRM
