I’ve come across people saying soldiers are born to die,why do they get into the forces if they fear death? To them I would like to say nobody gets into the forces to die.

We are humans and innately all of us fear death at varying degrees, that doesn’t make a soldier any less brave. The mission and sole objective of the warrior is to protect, guard and secure the boundaries of his motherland and not die at the front.

Any casualty during action is altogether a different story but nobody gets recruited into the forces to die. Hence, I feel it’s high time we shun this misnomer. Yes! These valiant men bear their lives up their sleeves but that doesn’t mean their lives lose value.
