#Parliament Day 2 of the special parliamentary session, deputy speaker @AzalinaOthmanS reminded MPs to put on double masks whenever they are in the House.

That's a good reminder as some MPs fail to observe proper wearing of masks and one of them did not bother to wear masks too.
#Parliament Right before the briefing by the Health Minister, MPs raised questions on the revocation of the emergency ordinance revealed by de-facto law minister Takiyuddin Hassan yesterday.

However, the minister said that he will explain next Monday.
#Parliament "When you have diarrhoea, you have to go to the toilet now!" Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin gave an anecdote that the de-facto law minister must make it clear about the revocation of emergency ordinance to the Parliament.
#Parliament Former health minister Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad was clearly upset and you can see a palpable frustration at how the Covid-19 is managed in the country.

So, I kinda miss the afternoon session of the Parliamentary debates.

When I checked the video again, what a horror.

Why on earth the MPs are peddling on anti-parasitic drugs? For goodness sake.
We still don't have clear substantial evidence to show its effectiveness in treating Covid-19. There's already the treatment regime for Category 4 and 5, used by Health Ministry and WHO.

I will have to call out these MPs for being very, very irresponsible on pushing the use of ivermectin to treat Covid-19 patients. I'm extremely exasperated and frustrated. Decisions have to be made based on scientific evidences.

#Parliament Heated session today as Selayang MP William Leong took on the Speaker to task to bring the motions by opposition leader and Port Dickson MP Anwar Ibrahim for debate.

"How are you going to face the (Covid-19) victims who are going to die in the next 6 months?"
#Parliament Earlier, Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh made a scathing remark against the House Speaker Azhar Harun, asking him if he is "government lapdog" and that he should resign from his position.
#Parliament Pokok Sena MP Mahfuz Omar argued if the such practices in the parliamentary special session today is akin to "an act of war" against the Federal Constitution and "attacking" the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

When contract doctors are threatened with disciplinary action by the Health Ministry, risking being terminated of their service ahead of the #HartalDoktorKontrak strike nationwide tomorrow, I think it is important for @SUHAKAM and @malaysianbar to observe and assist.
More than 23,000 contract medical officers nationwide who are now in limbo, making it nearly half of the total medical doctors' workforce in the public healthcare system.

Are we looking at an impending failure of the healthcare system in Malaysia?

Health director-general Dr. Noor Hisham wrote on his Facebook just 12 hours before the #HartalDoktorKontrak protest scheduled at 11AM tomorrow, calling on the junior doctors not to join the strike, citing "do no harm or injustice to our patients". Image

Now, I understand that everyone is talking about the total lockdown and here’s the thing.

There is no need to rush to supermarkets to stock up food or toilet papers. These are essential services that will stay open.

We don’t need new clusters from huge queues at supermarkets.
Secondly, I was hoping that the Prime Minister would announce the total lockdown live instead of press statements.

You need some sense of urgency and empathy, at the same time give reassurances. The press statement itself is not helping.
Thirdly, address the shortcomings and concerns. As major economic sectors will be shut down, people who work on day jobs will have a shock, without any pay.

The total lockdown announcement without remedial support and assistance being rolled out at the same time. Wrong move.
