Dept. to enforce “obligations” as they pertain to #Palestinians in general & IRS 501(c)(3) status in particular. This harms the US:

1 - The tweet represents @RepRashida ‘s pattern of sending SM full of lies that appear designed to malign the only reliable Middle East ally the

US has whom over 70% of the American people support.

The LIES are especially troubling coming from a Congresswoman whose first official act was to demand our former president’s impeachment BECAUSE of his lies.

2 - Tlaib compromises US Middle East policy by advancing an array of

foreign policy positions contrary to that of @POTUS & the Biden Administration.

This harms the US in general bc it presents a picture to allies & enemies of strident disarray in US government. Tlaib’s repeated use of “will you commit” creates a tone that sharpens this picture

3 - Tlaib assigns to @SecYellen & Treasury numerous & onerous tasks: create lists of mainly US Jewish charities awarded tax free status for donations to Israeli orgs for projects against #Islsmists’ interests & accounting of these to Tlaib’s supporters’ satisfaction. This

harms the US domestically in several respects:

It places an outrageous & unwarranted strain on @SecYellen ‘s & Treasury’s assets & attention at a time when Sec. Yellen & Treasury are making historic gains in meeting @POTUS ‘s Administration’s goals of reducing the wealth gap:

implementing policies such as monthly checks to poor people, mostly POC, to reduce child poverty by 50% & working to formalize 120 countries’ commitment to a 15% minimum corporate tax. IRS staff are stretched as it is; they are needed far more to chase down large scale tax

evaders than to sanction supposed violators of US tax law re: #Palestinians.

Sec. Yellen & Treasury are pursuing a number of other measures designed to reduce the US wealth gap & build a better America that @RepTlaib as a supposed member of @USProgressives should want. Instead,

Tlaib demands they waste precious time & assets on false claims in Islamists’ interests. Sec. Yellen seeks a $15 minimum wage; free universal pre school & 2 year community college; & salary enhancement for home care workers, overwhelmingly WOC, like Tlaib

herself.

4 - Treasury’s implémentation of the policies in Tlaib’s tweet would be an expensive waste of tax-payers’ $ at a time when we are incurring historic debt.

This waste of tax-payers’ money advancing policies 70% of Americans reject follows a pattern Tlaib & other

Members of Congress have been following including:

a) using tax-payers’ $ to pay staff to do the research & write this & other tweets.

Clearly @RepTlaib does not have the intellectual capacity to write this letter, & it is written in a voice that is clearly not hers.

b - using tax-payers’ $ to bring forth bills advancing Palestinian interests that DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES TO PASS precisely bc they

reflect values the overwhelming majority of Americans reject

including

usurping JEWISH RIGHTS

This same international Law recognizes the Jewish State’s right of exclusive sovereignty & close settlement of all of the territory covered by the 1922 League of Nations Mandate of Palestine; The Holy Land, Judea & Samaria

Contrary to Tlaib’s tweet

there is NO International Law recognizing either a right to Palestinian self-determination or a Palestinian State. These are non-binding, UN General Assembly Resolutions. Similarly, Tlaib’s claim that 2334 is International Law is a lie; the US abstained. To be IL, UNSC

Resolutions must be unanimous by all permanent members.

5 - To Jewish Americans & the 70% + of all Americans who support Israel, Tlaib’s tweet requiring Sec. Yellen, a Jew, & Amb. Friedman, a Jew, to accede to her demands smacks of antisemitism.

Since they first arrived

in America in the early 17th c., despite constant persecution by Americans practicing “the oldest prejudice,” Jews in America made significant contributions in all fields, enhancing America’s wealth, power, & culture immeasurably. To have US House Rep. - who, according to the US

constitution, has 0 power to make US foreign policy, deride Amb. Friedman, who helped bring about the historic Abraham Accords, & to demand that our Treasury Sec. prosecute & punish Jewish orgs supporting projects lawful according to International Law, is yet another example

of unnecessary, malign & divisive behavior by elected officials that not only falsely denigrates the only Jewish State, the only reliable Middle Eastern ally the US has, but it weakens America. Tlaib’s tweet is part of an orchestrated, multifaceted effort to destroy a tiny

state the size of New Jersey with a population of less than 7 mm of the 15 mm Jews left on the planet & just under 2 mm Arabs.

This effort springs from the Islamist branch of Islam who have made it a religious duty to destroy Israel.

This is why Arabs & Palestinians have

repeatedly rejected statehood; accepting would entail accepting the Jewish State.

Part of the effort to denigrate Israel is to deny Israel’s connection to Judaism & Judaism, itself, as integral to Zionism. PA President Abbas did so in his Ph.D dissertation; PA PM & other PA

officials did so in recent remarks, & Tlaib does it in this tweet.

Jews all over the world are constantly reminded in weekly religious text of the continual connection between Judaism, Zion, and Israel. American officials tasked with policing US ethics & keeping America strong

must censure Tlaib & others for violating the Logan Act against interference in American foreign policy by unauthorized parties in the Social Media age where tweets have direct and INDIRECT influence.

Failure to do so harms the American interest. It aids the historic

rise in antisemitism. Failure to censure Tlaib & other officials for acting in aid of “mendacious muqawama” also gives license to the violent, world-wide expression of antisemitism we saw this past May.
