Lucy Johnston has spoken about voices of scientists associated with GBD & the Us for them group being silenced. Interesting she says that here given these scientists have had access to MPs, and senior officials in govt in a way most of us don't.

It looks like they've had preferential access to MPs in a way that isn't transparent. But is v. concerning given the 'herd immunity by infection', eugenics, & anti-mask narratives associated with many of these groups. Why is our govt listening to know proponents of pseudoscience?
the idea that these groups are being 'silenced' is frankly completely divorced from reality, given they have been meeting with MPs, and have had influence on media throughout despite being promoting blatant pseudoscience. How have they managed to get this access?
And why have journalists like @thelucyjohnston who clearly know better tried to cultivate a narrative of them being 'silenced' when she knows this is far from the truth? Care to comment, Lucy?
And are journalists supposed to broker private meetings between MPs and scientists who are known represent certain interests? Odd to be a journalist reporting supposedly neutrally on scientists & science & brokering preferential access for them with MPs, privately, isn't it?
