For people wondering what ‘science’ Hinshaw was looking at to make this latest covid gamble, let’s review:
—doctors implored them in early November to do a short ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown. Kenney hid at home, they ignored it, and they still had to impose restricitons 1/6

in late November. They torpedoed Christmas retail and restaurant seasons while UCP staff & MLAs jetted off on vacations.
—in March, they were again cautioned that there would be a 3rd wave, they again ignored all advice, and again had to back down and impose restrictions. 2/6

Kenney had to close the #ableg to avoid answering questions about that.
—When they declared ‘open for summer’, they ignored all advice to go more gradually, or that the Stampede could be a super spreader, and bulldozed ahead. 3/6

Now we’re seeing case counts skyrocket, even as they try to cover that up.
—Hinshaw denied, all along, that schools were a factor in spread and transmission, even when there were 1000s of students and staff isolating, 1000s sick with covid, hundreds of covid outbreaks 4/6

and school closures, & province-wide school closures in Dec., Jan. & May. It’s pointless to ask what ‘science’ they are following. There is none, or it’s from covid-denying hacks. 5/6

They are following some twisted ideology about herd immunity or their favourite, ‘ignore/deny it and it will go away’. They keep blundering along in the same way, gambling that there will be different results. 6/6
