A paradigm shift is required to understand what and why they are doing what they are doing.

Most of us have not considered the AB government is actually trying to harm people. Because it’s unconscionable and unthinkable for a govt to intentionally harm the population it governs.

But that is precisely what is happening. And it’s why we are all filled with incredulity and shock as we process the policy Dr. Hinshaw and Jason Kenney announced.

It’s completely insane to those with a democratic & progressive frame of reference and worldview.

And when I say progressive, I mean moderate centre right all the way to socialist on the political spectrum.

For progressives, it just doesn’t even cross our minds to use power to harm others. It’s beyond our frame of reference & worldview which shapes our beliefs and values.

But, it makes complete sense to those who have abandoned democratic aspirations and have adopted authoritarian and fascist ideals.

Those on the right of the political spectrum lack empathy & compassion. The further right you move, the more foreign empathy becomes.

Fascism allows people to operate without empathy or compassion. Or to limit expressions of empathy to one’s close associates and like minded peers.

George Lakoff has studied frameworks & how the brain processes info through frameworks which are established throughout life.

Lakoff describes how progressives framework is based on nurturing parent styles. But conservatives framework is based on the strict authoritarian father style.

For a progressive, it’s difficult, almost impossible to mentally accept a leader would seek to harm the citizenry.

But for a conservative, while it does require a moderate expansion of their typical mental framework, harming those who do not adhere to conservative principles, beliefs and values is not that much of a shift. It’s framed as just punishment for lack of discipline. Not harm.

The biggest threat from UCP and Kenney is that the harm they seek to create has a purpose.

It’s intention is to attack those most critical of the far right ideology. This includes essential workers who have no choice but to place their children in daycare & school.

It includes women being removed from the professional labour force by being forced to choose between their career or their children’s health and safety. Those with low incomes cannot make a decision to forego employment. They either starve or use SELF DISCIPLINE to manage risk.

That’s the underlying narrative behind the policy.

Self reliance.

Personal responsibility.

Individual choice.

There is a method to the madness & a clear objective.

Installation of a neo “gilded age” where corporations rule & the poor are left to their own defences.

While many may question this “theory” since anti vaxxers and anti maskers will be “punished” as well, SEL DISCIPLINE to obey the complete surrender to faith in a god who protects true believers is the far right’s rationalization for those who get sick or die.

The Dominionist Christian rationalizes individual cases of illness as divine punishment & judgement for unknown evil and/or failure to completely surrender oneself to god’s command.

Yes, UCP is installing a theocratic regime. I’ve warned about this for 4 years. So have others.

I’ve documented the descent into theocratic dictatorship.

Been called a conspiracy theorist. A lot. But the conspiracy isn’t hypothetical. It’s real. UCP, and most “conservative” political parties across Canada are dominated by Dominionist Christian Nationalists.

Dominionist Christians are a threat to democracy, equality, liberalism, human progress & now, to Albertans lives & our children’s lives.

Never again is now. Right now. We remove this illegitimate government or we accept death and PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY if we contract covid.

That’s the whole point of “learning to live” with covid. It puts RESPONSIBILITY for PERSONAL protection on the individual.

Just like Muslim women are being told to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for their safety and use pepper spray.

Wetʼsuwetʼen protesters in early 2020 were immediately removed from a rail line. The police were assisted by yellow vest vigilantes.

UCP used this as justification to remove our human right to protest. An unconstitutional law we foolishly obey. Teaching us all SELF DISCIPLINE.

Radical extremist priests & pastors were provided leniency for a year before enforcement of the law, providing fuel for JCCF to attack the constitution. Carpay so convinced of his superiority and righteousness hired an investigator to follow the presiding judge in Manitoba.

To what purpose? To provide evidence of the judge’s lack of SELF DISCIPLINE & undermine his legitimate judicial authority.

Would that evidence be used to humiliate or intimidate? Does it matter?

The underlying theme: UCP has abandoned empathy & adopted PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

Every other Paleolibertarian political party in canada, masquerading as moderate conservatives, stacked with social conservative Dominionist Christian Nationalists has adopted PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY & abandoned empathy.

Stockwell Day’s evangelical beliefs were resoundingly rejected by Canadians in 2000. Twenty years later people with those same beliefs have control of most provincial power in Canada. ON, MB, SK, AB, NB and BC. This is not a new threat.

It’s just been ignored since Day was pushed out of politics.

Not for his seadoo performance, but for his extreme evangelical Christian beliefs & values he wanted to impose on all other Canadians.

The threat is real & immediate.

Dominionist Christians control Alberta.

The question is what are we going to do about it?

Because they are currently imposing their beliefs and values on Albertans.

We are still the majority. They are only about 25-30% of Albertans. 15-20% nationally.

UCP must be removed. Our lives are at risk.
