Concept of Multiple Universes in Hinduism:
(also a question about the existence of Trimurti for each universe.)

The concept of multiple universes is present in yoga Vasistha. Yoga Vasishta is a collection of instructions of the sage Vasistha to Bhagwaan Rama.

#thread
Yoga Vasishta has at least three such references of multiple universes.
1. "O Rama, countless have been the universes that have come into being and that have been dissolved. In fact, even the countless universes that exist at this moment are impossible to conceive of...
...All this can immediately be realized in one’s own heart, for these universes are the creation of the desires that arise in the heart, like castles built in the air. (The story of Suka)
2. In the infinite consciousness, in every atom of it, universes come and go like particles of dust in a beam of sunlight that shines through a hole in the roof. These come and go like ripples on the ocean. (The story of Lila)
3. ... Millions of universes appear in the infinite consciousness like specks of dust in a beam of light streaming into a room through a hole in the roof....

Now does each universe have its own Trimurti? (Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh) , let's see what Yoga Vasishta has to say...
"Of those countless universes, O Rama , in some, there are only plants; some have Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra, and others as the presiding deities, and some have none at all; in some there are only animals and birds; in some there is only an ocean; some are solid rocks.....
Thus above reference says that Trimurtis are not present in every universe.

On the other hand, the book "The Upanishads, Discussion of Brahman in the Upanishads, The Great Lord (Mahesvara), by Swami Nikhilananda" Says as following!
"Since the Brahmandas are without number, so too are Brahmas, Vishnus, and Sivas without number. The Purana says: 'One maybe able to count the number of sands on the seashore, but one cannot count the number of the Brahmandas or the deities controlling them."

One thing that new seeker should not: Just reading Hindu scripture only is not enough/effective.

Learning of scripture includes three steps/aspects: Shravana, Manana, and Nididhyasana. 1/5
From Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 2.4.5:

"The Self, my dear Maitreyi, should be realized – should be heard of, reflected on, and meditated upon; by the realization of the Self, my dear, through hearing, reflection, and meditation, all this is known."

What is Prayalaya?

One cycle of all 4 Yugas is called a Mahayuga or Chatur Yuga, and 1000 Mahayugas make up one Kalpa.

A Kalpa constitutes just one day for Brahma, After the day is over, Brahma goes to sleep, and then the Pralaya, or night of Brahma, commences.
#thread
The Pralaya, of equal length to a Kalpa, is the time period when the entire three worlds (the physical universe along with Devaloka and Asuraloka) are destroyed by fire emanating from the mouth of Vishnu's serpent Adiseshan.
Here is how it's described in the Srimad Bhagavatam:

"The devastation takes place due to the fire emanating from the mouth of [Ananta], and thus great sages like Bhṛgu and other inhabitants of Maharloka transport themselves to Janaloka....

What happens at the end of Kaliyuga?

the world Will Not actually get destroyed at the end of the Kali Yuga.

Rather, what's going to occur is that when the evil and decadence of the Kali Yuga reaches its zenith, Vishnu will have an avatar as Kalki the horse rider.

#thread
Here is how the Srimad Bhagavatam describes it:

"Lord Kalki will appear in the home of the most eminent brāhmaṇa of Śambhala village, the great soul Viṣṇuyaśā. Lord Kalki, the Lord of the universe, will mount His swift horse Devadatta and, sword in hand,
...travel over the earth exhibiting His eight mystic opulences and eight special qualities of Godhead.

Displaying His unequaled effulgence and riding with great speed, He will kill by the millions those thieves who have dared dress as kings. +

Difference between various commentaries of Gita.

At any point of time Original sanskrit slokas are 'authentic' Gita. The first authentic commentary was written by Sri Adi Sankaracharya, which is the bhashya that establishes the Advaita philosophy.

He made commentary of the 700 slokas of Gita out of 745 slokas. All the later Acharyas like Sri Ramanuja, Sri Madhva etc wrote commentaries only of these very 700 slokas chosen by Sri Adi Sankara.
The purpose of each was to establish one's own philosophy by explaining Gita. They wrote the bhashyas in sanskrit, analysing the slokas word by word and going to the very depth of each word.

Sanskrit is a very rich language & each word can be interpreted in many different ways.

Today is #Mahasamadhi_Diwas of Swami Vivekananda.

A thread on What mantra Swami Vivekananda regularly chanted...

Sri Ramakrishna surrendered Swamiji to Maa Kali and asked him to meditate on the form of Maa Kali. So He had given Kali Mantra to Swamiji in all probabilities. 1/6
Swamiji soon started getting visions of Kali, different other deities and mantras, as He told confidentially to Sri M in 1887(as recorded in Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita)
Sri Ramakrishna also gave Him Rama Mantra at Kashipore in 1886 (as mentioned in Sri Ramakrishner Antyaleela by Swami Prabhananda).

He was taught Swamiji Advaitavaad as mentioned by Swamiji in His Complete Works.
