“It was pretty observable that the last 30m or 40m of the 200m were impactful. And actually, I think that vindicated the decision about the 400m. If you are finishing a 200m like that, you extend the runway. That in a way supports the judgment that was made"
Mu ran faster than Semenya's Rio Gold
"Was it right to do what we did at the distances? Yes & I think the 800m ystrdy was a very good example... It says a lot about some of the policies we have adopted that we have that kind of race & people like Mu & Hodgkinson coming through”
Yes, actually you did
You had your staff produce a paper that supposedly said that advantages exist only at 400m to one mile
And in this interview (look up a few tweets) you reiterated that
COE: "We’ve never said that there may not be advantages at lower levels elsewhere”
Yikes
Will we also have comprehensive sex testing & certificates of femininity too? Naked parades?
"Coe also suggested that different classifications might yet come into sport in the future – including an “open” category for almost everyone and a restricted “biological female”"
Also, IAAF promised to CAS and in the regulations confidentiality of private medical information of athletes and here is Coe talking about possibly banning a specific athlete if she wins in the future
Coe's comment that the testosterone rules are working at the 200m indicated by Mboma's Silver is likely going to show up at a CAS hearing if WA bans Mboma (which I venture is all but certain post-Tokyo)

Franzke, C. L. (2021). Towards the development of economic damage functions for weather and climate extremes. Ecological Economics, 189, 107172. doi.org/10.1016/j.ecol…
Comprehensively validates (again) the normalization literature
Short thread...
Economic damage from weather extremes has increased around the world as wealth & exposure have grown
I am starting to wonder if some professors in climate who are now regularly harassing me in absolutely over-the-line & nutso ways have serious drinking or mental health issues
Really strange behaviors
I can take the politics, name calling and anger - Fine
But repeatedly lying about me and making up stuff is way over the line
Its one thing when randos do it, but professors are held to a much higher standard
For now I'm not doing anything more than just blocking the offenders and hoping they get the help they need 🙏
