Oh, wow: a nominally feminist group working in tandem with a powerful male Democratic Party politician to protect him from consequences for his serial harassment and predatory behavior toward women.

Have we ever seen that before?
The key role played by @AlphonsoDavid -- the President of @HRC -- in helping Andrew Cuomo smear his first accuser, by aiding in the leaking of her personnel records to the press, is absolutely repugnant. That HRC is standing by him speaks volumes:

Also, @TIMESUPNOW - the "feminist" group that plotted with Cuomo against his accusers - is the one @ryangrim reported refused to help Tara Reade by inventing a blatant falsehood to protect Biden.

These are DNC fronts masquerading as social justice groups

The Jake-Sullivan-led Biden delegation that met Bolsonaro in Brasilia this week offered Bolsonaro *membership in NATO* in exchange for him not using Huawei for Brazil's 5G, reports Brazil's largest paper, @folha: all this as Bolsonaro increases his threats to cancel elections.
I know liberals all suddenly decided at once that the tiny and strategically trivial country of Hungary is something they all must denounce because Tucker visited there, but maybe Biden's overtures to Bolsonaro -- President of a vastly larger country - deserves some attention.
I know it's profoundly crucial what a cable host feels about a tiny Eastern European country but for those claiming to oppose authoritarianism, the US President sending arms and $ to the Saudi and Egyptian tyrannies & offering NATO membership to Bolsonaro might matter a bit more?

Four straight years of corporate media and liberal politicians (excuse the redundancy) pretending to care so deeply about the rule of law above all else -- including those who served in past lawless administrations -- only to now have headlines like this one above.
In 2011, the House of Representatives voted *against* authorizing Obama's involvement in the war in Libya, but he just ignored that and continued to fight there anyway, to remove Gaddafi even after he swore that protecting civilians, not regime-change, was the mission: #RuleOfLaw

Here's the top consultant for Shontel Brown, who defeated Nina Turner in Ohio yesterday -- after the Dem establishment and pro-Israel groups poured huge resources into defeating Turner -- telling @danielmarans what lessons the left must learn from this:

The Bernie/AOC wing watched the entire Dem establishment unite to defeat @NinaTurner just to spite them and deny them a seat.

What did the left do to try to stop them? Nothing. No threats to withhold votes or support. What will they do now? Continue to loyally serve the Dems.
A political faction that signals it will never use its power and will always loyally serve the Party -- no matter how much contempt the Party displays for them -- is a faction that will have no respect and deserves no respect. People in politics despise weakness above all.

Both houses of the NY state legislature are controlled by Democrats and have the power to impeach the Emmy-winning Gov. Cuomo.

And this is all completely independent of his multiple COVID scandals: hiding COVID deaths, nursing home recklessness, special favors for Chris, etc.
Reminder of how the liberal sector of the corporate press spent the last 15 months sanctifying and slobbering all over Andrew Cuomo without even a pretense of critical distance:

Vintage Squad politics: Lots of performative theatrical dissidence, sometimes well-motivated. But ultimately, it's always boxed in by a refusal to wield real power if doing so means defying Pelosi or subverting the Dem Party. It keeps pseudo-edgy leftists loyal to the Party.
That's why the Squad's behavior on Pelosi's bill to increase Capitol Police funding is vital. All 6 of them agreed to join the GOP and vote NO, but when they realized that would sink the bill, AOC, Tlaib & Bowman voted "present" so it passed by 1 vote:

Look at what the Squad did there. All 6 members were going to defy Pelosi and vote NO on more spending for Capitol Police -- but only when they thought it would pass without them. Once they realized that would sink Pelosi's bill, they backed away. The dissent is only for theater.

White liberals constantly ignore and erase millions and millions of Black and Hispanic people -- which this chart shows will not get the vaccine -- along with working-class people, whenever their thoughts negate liberal pieties. Look how @espiers pretends they don't exist:
Her own chart shows that 1 out of every 4 black people, and 1 out of every 4 Hispanics, are saying they will never get the vaccine or are highly likely not to, but @espiers thinks she has the right to pretend they don't exist so she can persist with her stunted partisan scripts.
Liberal pundits see people of color and LGBTs as their personal little toys to wind up and put on a stage to perform when it suits them, and bury them and pretend they don't exist when making them invisible serves their interests. You can see that mentality vividly every day.
