As some have pointed out on this thread, and as @maddow and I and others reported on in real time, the American right jumped fully on board with Scott Atlas' madman "natural herd immunity" strategy in 2020, as the virus killed a half million Americans... washingtonpost.com/politics/trump…
And anti-vax Republicans on cable TV and in state and federal governments, led by @RonDeSantisFL @KristiNoem, the space laser madwoman and various @foxnews hosts sure seem to be pushing a view that no American adult or child should be allowed to shield themselves from the virus.
They're out here trying to knock down ANY rule that would let American schools and businesses choose to create maximally COVID-free spaces. They're saying no such spaces may exist. This as they're warning their cult followers away from the vaccines MOST OF THEM SAFELY RECEIVED.
Why would you do that unless your goal was MORE infections? Happy to hear a contrary view or some other explanation for what we're seeing in this country.
