#AFG Taliban in control of the city of Farah, only the Afghan intelligence service NDS HQ is resisting, officials and residents in Farah city tells me. 
ANDSF is resisting and we are fighting against the Taliban. But the governors office has fallen to the Taliban, Farah Governor Massoud Bakhtawar tells me.
General Samad the former intelligence chief for Farah who was recently appointed as Afghan army brigade commander appears in a video message. On his Facebook page General Samad vowed he will return with more forces and have a counter - attack against Farah city.
“ We briefly took over the governors office but the fighting is to intense that we retreated back.” Farah governor Masood Bakhtawar tells me.
“Multiple American air strikes were carried out against Taliban in Farah city about 2 hours ago. At least 8 members of Taliban were killed. At least 7 members of Taliban were wounded.” A senior security officer tells me.
“The Afghan National Army brigade has fallen into the hands of Taliban in Farah city.” Several Afghan soldiers inside the Afghan National Army brigade tells me.
“Governor of Farah Masood Bakhtawar, police chief and senior leadership surrendered to the Taliban, they handed over the brigade to the Taliban.” Multiple sources in Farah, and Kabul tells me.
Brigade commander for Farah General Samad former intelligence chief for Farah left with some soldiers and a convoy. But the Governor of Farah surrendered to the Taliban inside the brigade with some soldiers.
Farah had a NDS Special forces unit based for years in Farah, I wounded what happened to that SF unit ?
