When you’re carried into a hospital with a heart scare or something, does the tax collector come with a clipboard and ask for you to pay up before they admit you?

I don’t trust doctors or big Pharma there is no way I’m getting the vaccine right now my husband and I are sick as dogs so we’re going to urgentcare to get some remdesivir just in case then to the movies

Wealth disparity works in nasty ways on big issues that skew equity that the wealthiest can not even begin to process.
Education is critical.
We all agree.
But… the question for all parents is how to send a child to private school or live in an area where public is exceptional and then to send that same child to college locally or get the pick of the litter of the world’s great universities.
For the 99%,
this is a GIGANTIC FINANCIAL HURDLE that barely resembles a DECISION.

It is an entire life struggle for the families of tens of millions of underpaid workers.

Rent and food and medicine take precedent.
There can be no plan but hard work.

America has a poverty problem. So in 2017, why did Senate leadership vote for a GIGANTIC TAX BREAK for the wealthiest Americans at a time when they LEAST needed it while America’s people suffered as poverty levels rose through the roof? (Stealing from @profwolff on @jimmy_dore.)
When wealth disparity threatened to cause civil unrest, FDR made the bold move of hiring all the unemployed Americans & PAID THEM a fair wage to work.

He demanded the wealthiest Americans give some blood to avoid ruin.
FDR taxed the wealthy to hire Americans who were falling through the cracks. Millions of them. He did it in order to PROTECT big companies from dying (and a potential revolution) once they impoverished their CUSTOMERS/WORKERS with crushing wealth disparity.
It worked.

Of course you need a getaway. Let’s grab a few acres on the water for you on Bainbridge Island, WA.
It’s only 6 bedrooms but they don’t have anything bigger... yet. It’s on the market for $6.9 million.
Let’s offer $7 & keep everyone happy.
