CIF Price : USD $ 25 per head
Minimum order quantity: 50 heads
Weight : 40-80 kg Age: 1 year
MEANING : 25×50×108=135,000 Kes to Mombasa Port. Custom duty about 55,000Kes , Total landed cost = 190,000Kes . Transport to your home 10,000 , let sum up everything to 200,000Kes.
200,000Kes for 50 Heads of Full blood boer may seem Expensive but let me make it easier/ cheaper for you. You can partner with like minded persons , let say 10 partners this means each of your will put 200,000/10 = 20,000Kes @ for 5 Full blood Boers @. Thats a fare deal😀
Please note that they are Full blood note pure breeds meaning their level of heterosis is higher when crossed to natives also you can engage in exchange program with your partners in future , where you will exchange bucks(male) & Does (female) to prevent inbreeding.
All the best.

Hope this information was of benefit to you. But remember is you are starter in goat farming start with indigenous Breeds
Start with the indigenouse breeds then after you have got enough experience you can go to exotic breed like boer, kalahari reds and white savanna .
one more thing i forgot, importing anything require a company and license .
Importation of live animals is different from Importation of electronics , machine and spares where all you need is a registered company . Live animal importation is Regulated hence there are some Legal formalities that you will have to comply with .
One of the legal Formalities includes Import permit for cattle . Import permit for breeding cattle (VS03)
is valid for a period of ninety (90) days and is processed through the Kenya National TradeNet System (KESWS) kentrade.go.ke .
For more information on how to obtain an import permit for cattle intended for breeding, click on the link. kentrade.go.ke . Usishtuke/dont be afraid, there is always an easier way of doing things .Let me save you the hustle, import through a reputable freight forwarder
Visit Reputable freight forwarder and ask them if live animals importation is within there scope consult with them before paying then let them take care of everything for you. From importation to good clearing to transporting of your animals to your site .
Your animal imports must be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate from the country of origin to ascertain that the animals are healthy and disease free. probably your forwarder will request all the relevant document on your behalf but its good to know the basic.

The biggest blunder you can ever make in livestock keeping is choosing the wrong genetics, whether you are in milk production or meat production. If you choose the wrong genetics you have failed before starting
Its important to learn the Art of selecting the Right animal fit for your purpose. if it milk then goat breeds like Saanen, Toggenburg, nubian & Alpine are best, if its for slaughter then borana/somali goats & boer/savanna/Kalahari red are best. But start with native breeds.
When selecting goat for slaughter we look at morphological traits that is the size, shape & structure of an animal. By observation look at the coat of the animal, it should look smooth ,no wounds, the hair should not look rough or sign of hair loss. See images of sick goat skin.
@sharonjcheboi@olusegunyemi@SeruyaFarm True. Lets looks this matter from another angle . In USA contract famers (industrial scale milk producers, broilers, layers , ships and pigs) plant their own crops in thousand of hectares so as to have enough grain to last them entire season while manufacturering own feeds why??
@sharonjcheboi@olusegunyemi@SeruyaFarm The reason why they do this is to have a reserve throughout the season so that they may not be caught off guard if they were to rely on supply chain for distribution of raw materials for own feed Making production when the supply chain prices fluctuates with climate and demand
@sharonjcheboi@olusegunyemi@SeruyaFarm The most brilliant man to ever walk on earth was Albert Eistein . He said that you can not solve a problem at the same extent at which you created it. This means the solution to maize crisis may not necessarily be more maize but what else can do as well or better than corn.
-Sweet potato vines for example are very nutritious pig feed if well prepared and preserved. To help reduce production costs of pigs and pig products here is a simple effective ration
Cut 60-100kg of sweet potato vines and spread them dry in the sun for about 30 minutes.
Chop the vines into tiny pieces and mix them with 10 kg of maize germ or pig growers mash.
Sprinkle ½ kg of mineral salt and mix thoroughly.
Put mixture into an airtight 250-litre plastic tank

Sustainable Animal feed manufacturering.
In this century with the rising Global warming and reduce farming
Land , it doesn't matter how Good your invention or solution is if it is not sustainable to the environment and humans......thread
We are living in a time of history where there only way to survive is to make the most out of the list. These means proper land utilization, land rehabilitation and economical solutions.
To benefit from manufacturering your own feed for poultry you have to think smart.
1. Scale of production - the larger the scale the more economical, if your capacity is small it will be smart to join hands with other small producers to make it economical viable.
