That isn’t a typical outcome in Canada. Leaders don’t quit if their party doesn’t win as many seats as they had hoped.
That’s an American phenomenon because the leader is elected separately.

Why would PMJT quit if he only wins a minority?
Does Canada not require leadership? As well as the Liberal party? Is PMJT’s riding not in need of representation?
The complete waste of time and effort of those who voted for Harper only to quit within days in 2015 was atypical.

And it should remain atypical. When US presidential candidates fail to get elected, they return to their old jobs, or branch out to something new.

If I can go to the grocery store, get the oil and tires changed on my car, shop for school supplies and clothes for my son, all activities that take about an hour, I can walk in a building for 15 minutes to cast a vote.
And so can every other Canadian.
The issue isn’t whether we should have an election. The issue is how do we move forward. Which requires a new mandate. As repeated after every question wondering if PMJT is going to “cut and run” if he doesn’t win a majority.
