1803 ମସିହାରେ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ୍ ସେନା ଗଞ୍ଜାମ ରୁ ପୁରୀ ଏବଂ କଟକ ଯାଇଥିଲେ , ପୁରୀ ଦଖଲ ବେଳେ ପୁରୀ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଜୟୀ ରାଜଗୁରୁ ଙ୍କୁ ଦୋଷୀ ସାବ୍ୟସ୍ତ କରି 1806 ଡିସେମ୍ବର 6 ତାରିଖରେ ମେଦିନୀପୁର ର ବାଘା ତୋଟା ରେ ଫାଶୀ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ।

ପ୍ରକାଶ ଥାଉକି ବ୍ରିଟିଶ କଂପାନୀ ସରକାର ପ୍ରଥମେ 1767 ରେ ଗଞ୍ଜାମ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଥିଲେ

ଗଞ୍ଜାମର ପାଇକ ମାନେ ଦୀର୍ଘ 36 ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ଅନବରତ ଇଂରାଜୀ ସେନା ସହ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଚଳାଇଥିଲେ * ପାରଳାଖେମୁଣ୍ଡି ଗଜପତି ମହାରାଜା ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ନାରାୟଣ ଦେବ ଏବଂ ବଡଖେମୁଣ୍ଡି ରାଜା ଶ୍ରୀ ପୁରୁଷୋତ୍ତମ ଅନଙ୍ଗ ଭୀମ ଦେବ ଙ୍କ ମିଳିତ ପାଇକ ବାହିନୀ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ୍ ଆଗମନ କୁ ପ୍ରତିରୋଧ କରିବାରେ ସମର୍ଥ ହୋଇଥିଲେ।

Friends, PLR is the first private established Railway in SouthEastern India and we must preserve the memory of the Maharaja of Paralakhemundi. I request everybody to initiate steps to keep at least one PLR locomotive

శ్రీముఖలింగేశ్వర దేవాలయం : శ్రీముఖలింగేశ్వరస్వామి దేవాలయము గల ఈ ఊరు ' పంచపీఠ ' స్థలముగా ప్రసిద్ధం . దీనినే ముఖలింగ క్షేత్రమని కూడా పిలుస్తారు . ఇక్కడ లభించిన ఆధారాలను బట్టి ఈ గ్రామం ఒకప్పుడు రాజధానికి ఉన్నత దశననుభవించిందని తెలుస్తుంది .

1936 ମସିହା ଡିସେମ୍ବର 27 ତାରିଖରେ ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁର ସହରରେ ରେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ବିଜୁଳି ଆଲୋକ ଜଳିଥିଲା। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁର ଗିରିମାର୍କେଟ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ବିଜୁପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ପାର୍କ ସେତେବେଳେ ଏକ ପୋଖରୀ ଥିଲା । ଯାହାର ନାମ ଥିଲା ତାମେୟା ବନ୍ଧ,
