It’s annoying how conservatives continue to be given the benefit of the doubt concerning the veracity and integrity of their false accusations.
A couple hours is all it takes journalists. That’s it.
Christine Donoghue is credited with sending out the controversial HR memo to the public service.
Donoghue’s husband is Lawrence Cannon, a Harper MP, Minister of Transport & Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Ambassador to the French Republic, 2012-2017. ledroit.com/actualites/les…
Cannon’s oldest son from a previous marriage was spokesperson for Trans-Canada Energy East Pipeline.
Lawrence Cannon was Harper’s Quebec lieutenant. Loyal to the party and the leader.
Well rewarded with an appointment to France. His wife & kids accompanied him for 2 years.
Mr. Cannon is also a featured speaker at the Economic Club of Canada. An organization that connects C-street executives with the community.
Sponsored by Telus. Kenney’s favourite corporation in the running to take over Alberta healthcare & replace physician check ups digitally.
Rhiannon Rosalind is the owner of EC and also assists schools and youth to get appropriate financial management (that’s code for libertarian free market?) training. EC host an annual Energy Summit in Calgary.
Mr. Cannon runs his own consulting company called Group Cannon. His write up boasts of his establishment or warming of diplomatic relations with China immediately prior to Harper signing the China Canada FIPA in 2012. Was he involved in negotiations? 🤷🏻♀️
Group Cannon employs Adam Taylor. Mr Taylor was Harper’s senior policy advisor on international trade.
Taylor is writing a weekly Letter about Trade where subscribers receive updates on current international trade from a free market libertarian perspective.
It’s based on the success of the China Letter created to track how dangerous China has become.
Might of thought of inquiring about that before signing a 31 year airtight binding trade agreement for a Canada compromising our sovereignty. But hey. Hindsight is 20/20 right? 🙄
Monte Solberg is also a Canadian Freedom Institute fellow. I don’t know who funds all these think tanks and propaganda outlets, but it seems every loyal conservative is taken care of financially as long as they keep pumping out ideological rhetoric and papers. 😬
Lawrence Cannon is also a director at Sphinx Resources. Operating in SW Quebec with local shareholders who approve of mining for minerals. Local meaning company executives live in the region. Not actual locals impacted by open pit mining. Hey, but they have jobs, right?
Needless to say, Mr. Cannon is a devoted conservative. Well compensated over the years for his loyalty.
It would be odd if his wife weren’t also a devoted loyal conservative. Even though she’s a career executive (non partisan) public servant.
Donoghue put out a memo to all federal public servants stating misinformation about PMJT’s recent call for mandatory vaccinations after the writ dropped. You’d think the Chief Human Resources executive would get her facts straight, prior to the writ being dropped.
Providing a contrived scandal after the govt goes into caretaker mode is underhanded. Newly appointed in May 2021, she deserves to be fired for such an egregious failure to communicate on behalf of the executive branch.
It was an accident. A mistake. I’m sure (💧💦sarcasm).
I’ve seen interns and mid level managers make this kind of “error” before, but not a top level executive with decades of experience.
There is no way I buy the offered narrative that completely undermining the sitting PM’s directive wasn’t an underhanded partisan attack.
There no way that the removal of the posted internal memo wasn’t also planned to give O’Toole fresh scandal to accuse PMJT of interference during the writ period’s caretaker mode government.
Cons are so predictable. Like the sunrise, it’s not hard to predict con malfeasance.
Exploitation of this “scandal” should be grounds for O’Toole to resign from the federal election and as leader of an obviously corrupt and dubious political party, still managed behind the scenes by Stephen Harper.
When conservatives begin manufacturing scandals to boost their popularity, journalists are REQUIRED to spend at least a few minutes checking the veracity of the claim.
If they don’t, and just publish bullshit, that’s actually called fake news; amplification of disinformation.
I suspect a little funny business is going on. Weird how O’Toole knew immediately that the internal memo was circulated and then removed.
Got news for you folks… LPC isn’t required to interfere. Christine Donoghue interfered.
But I’m sure her employment contract will provide a tidy sum if LPC manages to win the election.
But she’s counting on a big reward by handing CPC fresh meat to feed the haters and doubters. Of that I’m quite sure. A tidy retirement patronage appointment maybe?
I’m so sick of conservative machinations and schemes to egregiously influence the electorate.
Aren’t you? Aren’t you disgusted by their bullshit back room dealings to trade in power and wealth?
It’s clear as day what needs to be removed from Canadian Parliament. This heinous iteration of conservative thieves.
It’s time for Canada to kick the dirty tricks, ratfucking bullshitters to the curb. So they can slither back into the gutter where they belong.
If people actually read a few books, they would already know what’s happening. They would recognize what Mulroney is referencing to a crowd of concerned libertarians needing reassurance O’Toole is going to deliver them “freedom & liberty” to reap a Canadian resource harvesting.
CIA backed Pinochet coup d’état in Chile 1973 was the beginning of libertarian redesign of democracy to suit the needs and wants of the very wealthy. A model further perfected over the years.
Nancy Maclean “Democracy In Chains”. Maclean reveals the architect of the libertarian Disaster Capitalist (anarcho-capitalist) movement funded by Koch Brothers, Mont Pelerin Society and CNP: James Buchanan. The source of Public Choice theory.
My husband and I were discussing this issue this morning.
Neither of us could figure out why leaders who are intentionally putting lives at risk are not being charged with crimes against humanity. This is the equivalent to mass murder.
If leaders ordered police to shoot & open fire in a crowd, it’s qualitatively no different than how covid has been handled by many on the far right.
We know shooting bullets into a crowd will kill some, injure others and terrorize the population.
Refusing to use actual science to make covid mitigation decisions has the same effect. Except covid is a more targeted attack. People who are unvaccinated are more likely to be affected. That includes all children under 12.
Asking why we have a snap election when conservative governments are intentionally exacerbating covid and willingly harming the populations they are sworn to protect, is denial that this carnage is intentional.
There is no way to rationalize these decisions.
Hinshaw, and certainly Kenney & UCP will use denial to escape culpability. They’ll call it a mistake, and accident. A miscalculation.
That’s a lie and an example of UCP gaslighting.
Global condemnation for this decision came immediately after it was announced.
When you assume a defensive position to an unverified narrative, you make the underlying narrative appear to be true.
Stop defending Trudeau and attack the people spreading false narratives.
That’s the dirty trick being played on Canadians.
It’s the NDP, CPC and MSM acting in bad faith. Make them answer to their malfeasance and manipulation of truth. It’s not up to Trudeau to prove innocence. It’s up to the accuser to prove guilt. And they haven’t. They just pretend it’s an established fact.
Every time you’ve wondered how well known politicians and controversial yet popular provocateurs get away with posting clear violations of Facebook policy, is explained here.
A list of people who have no restrictions on anything they write, broadcast, create, post, etc. Including revenge porn and incitement to hatred and violence.
Now consider the current Canadian federal election.
And view it through the lens of Bill C-10.
Why are we having an election?
Did CPC and NDP block Bill C-10 from being approved? Yes. Enormous effort was made to spin the bill as an attempt to block user generated content.
But the bill was actually intended to monitor Social Media owners enforcement of their own rules.
