So I've just had a fallout with a degrowther after I called out his friend for describing the Holocaust as a means of population control (a measure which, of course, he supported).
The dude first told me to chill out (which I did not do), then expressed confusion that the degrowth movement was associated to the Holocaust (as if it was me who first referenced the subject), then declared that the Holocaust was indeed meant as a form of population control.
He consequently blew up on me for stating that the Holocaust was racist, and asking him whether he sincerely saw no ethical or strategic issue with making positive references to population control as enacted by the litteral NSDAP.
Well, these statements of yours may explain why the people you talk associate your politics with the Holocaust, doesn't it ?
I have no idea whether he actually supported eugenics as a preferable alternative to continued population growth, or just entirely failed to see the implications of these statements.

Degrowthers (and climate/social justice people generally), can we make more efforts to keep eugenics out ?
This is about protecting life against corporate interests, not racial purity, and it'd be nice to trace a *very clear* line in the sand in this regard.
