1) The journey of Hero Group can be traced back to 1956 when Hero Cycles Limited was set up by the Munjal siblings, specifically Dayanand Munjal, Satyanand Munjal, Brijmohan Lall Munjal, and O. P. Munjal.
2) The company has since become inseparable from two-wheelers in India. Today, Hero MotoCorp (Formerly Hero Honda Motors Ltd.) is the world’s biggest producer of bikes.
3) The Hero Group is an Indian conglomerate with interests and tasks in automotive manufacturing, financing, sustainable power source, electronics manufacturing, and education.
4) The Group has its offices and production facilities spread across five continents. The Hero Group incorporates Hero MotoCorp, Hero FinCorp, Hero Future Energies, Rockman Industries, Hero Electronix, and the BML Munjal University.
5) It turned into the world’s biggest bike maker in 2001, regarding unit volume deals in a scheduled year, and has kept up the pining for a title for as long as 18 sequential years.
6) In 1978, the group had managed to acquire a license for mopeds – this marked the venturing of the company into 2- wheeler business.
7) In the early 1980s, Hero Cycles had already crossed the production mark of 1 million bicycles and decided to diversify into various fields- textile spinning, financial services, and cold-rolling steel mill.
8) A low-cost, fuel-efficient motorcycle was introduced by the company in the '80s and quickly became popular in India.

9) In 1983, Hero hit another milestone by collaborating with the automobile company Honda of Japan.
10) The JV Company, incorporated as ‘Hero Honda Motors Ltd’ rolled out their first motorcycle ‘CD100’ in the year 1985.

11) The Honda and the Munjal families each owned 26% of the company.
12) Honda joined hands with Hero in India to benefit from its extensive network and high-quality products.

13) In 1986, Hero Cycles registered with the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world; with a production of 19,000 bicycles per day.
14) In 1991, Hero Honda Finlease was established in order to finance motorcycles for customers.

15) In 2007, Hero Honda aimed to provide a strengthened and aggressive appeal for the younger generation.
16) Hero Honda Group's board of directors decided in December 2010 to dissolve the joint venture between Hero Group of India and Honda of Japan.

17) In addition to its termination, restrictions on exports from Bangladesh and Nepal contributed to its demise.
18) Hero Group could not export abroad (except to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka) due to the joint venture with Honda. Nevertheless, when the contract was terminated, the company became entitled to export.
19)Hero Motocorp (previously Hero Honda) used the technology of its Japanese counterpart, Honda, for almost 27 years (1983-2010).

20)In 2010, Hero Realty and Infra was established with an aim to diversify the business segments.
21)In 2011, after separating from Honda, Hero group renamed the company as Hero MotoCorp.

22) On 9 August 2011, at the third test between England and India, the new logo was unveiled in London Designed by the British firm Wolff Olins.
23)In 2013, the group established Hero Future Energies which operates as a power producer.

24)On 21 April 2014, Hero MotoCorp announced its plans to set up a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh with the Bangladeshi Nitol-Niloy group.
25)The group established Hero Electronix, a venture into the technology space with a vision to create leading technology businesses out of India, In 2015.

26)Hero MotoCorp inaugurated its world-class Global Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur on 10 March 2016.
27) Splendor iSmart 110, Hero MotoCorp's first bike developed with its own technology, was launched on 14 July 2016.

28)On 12 January 2017, Hero MotoCorp launched the Glamour motorcycle in Argentina, its first international launch.
29)Today, Hero have eight around the world benchmarked producing offices, with six located in India and one each in Colombia and Bangladesh.

30) Hero Cycles Ltd. is undoubtedly the largest manufacturer of bicycles in India which produces 5.2 million cycles per annum.
31)Hero Future Energies Private Limited (HFE) operates as a power producer. The Company specializes in wind and solar power generation.

32) HFE is already a heavyweight in India with 1.3GW installed renewables capacity and another 1.5GW under construction.
33) Yadea, a Chinese manufacturer, overtook Hero Motor as the second-largest manufacturer in 2020 when it sold over 6 million mopeds/scooters.

34)As the company lost over 1.3 million sales from the preceding year, Hero Motor reported an enormous loss in 2020.
35) In the year 2021-2022, Hero is expected to release 7 bikes.

36) Hero Xtreme 160S, Hero Maestro electric and Hero Electric Scooter will be launched in India at an estimated price of Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 80,000 and Rs. 1.08 lakh, respectively.
38) As of 2021, Hero is the only Indian automobile brand to cross the 100 million mark in production.

39) Hero sells over ten lakh Splendor bikes a year, making it the company's best-selling motorcycle.
40) Did you know that Hero produces nearly 9,500 two-wheelers a day and the production line manufactures approximately 7 motorcycles per minute?
