I quit the studio system because I wanted to make cool stuff and people literally told me “bring us something less cool with pop music, like Trolls.” I’m still not free to create original stuff until October, but I can’t wait to make cool independent animation

I think animated films can have a strong vision like a Coen Brother’s film. I think they can impact people on every emotional level.

We have to make this kind of thing ourselves

Also stuff can be funny, sweet, adorable, horrifying, exciting, awe inspiring, etc. all in one.

At least for now I can help other artists like @TheChaseConley make their cool projects until I’m finally free. Let’s make cool shit!

There are so many creators like myself and Chase who’ve been asking for permission, but I think the time for asking is over, it’s time to change the animation game ourselves.

Studios try to chase trends. They try to be the “next Pixar”, not realizing Pixar was revolution. Pixar wasn’t trying to be the next Disney. Stop trying to be the next Pixar. Do something revolutionary.
