@GovRonDeSantis @richardcorcoran The state's school district superintendents were informed of the appeal later this evening by Public Schools Chancellor Jacob Oliva, who told them the state will therefore "resume enforcement" of ban on mask mandates w/o parental opt-opts.

@GovRonDeSantis @richardcorcoran Next procedural move: The plaintiff's attorneys can ask Cooper under FRAP 9.310 to "vacate the stay," in other words, to allow his ruling to go back into effect during the appeal process.

@GovRonDeSantis @richardcorcoran @GallagherLaw UPDATE: The emergency motion to vacate the automatic stay has been filed. This means the plaintiffs, the prevailing side, are asking the trial court judge to allow his ruling to go into immediate effect, rather than be suspended during the appeal.
