Do you know that in the last 3 years including during the Pandemic, China has been building day & night the new capital of the century for Egypt in the desert? The Central Business District (CBD) project of the new Egyptian capital is being built now by China Construction Egypt.
The first phase of Egypt's new capital CBD project covers a total area of about 505,000 square meters at a cost of 3.5 billion US$. The core construction is the "Symbol of Egypt Tower" complex, a multi-functional, multi-purpose high-rise building of the height of 385.8 meters.
Once built, it will become Africa's tallest building. Other constructions include nine high-rise commercial office buildings, five high-rise apartment buildings and one high-end hotel. There will be a total of 16 high-rise buildings and four supporting municipal works.
When this project is completed, it will greatly relieve the pressure on the old city of Cairo, and greatly vitalize the Egyptian economy. The initial CBD is expected to be completed in 2022. So far, 60% of the phase I project has been accomplished.
Deeply shocked that Egyptians don't know that their new capital is being built and funded by China. 80% of the workers are locally recruited and trained by China, so 80% is built by Egypt according to their propaganda.

China is said to build only the CBD & the rest are being built by Egypt! The CBD is the 1st phase. China puts down money and builds module by module. The rest 80% supposedly being built by Egypt is in their head..When China starts phase 2, I'll report!
