1] @citezw interview by @zenzele

@Welshman_Ncube:

'Since we last spoke, there's been systematic attempts to dismember @mdczimbabwe. They have taken our MPs & given them to other parties, some of which didnt exist in 2018. They've taken our properties & given them to Mwonzora'
2] @Welshman_Ncube:

'GoZ has taken money we are entitled to. The hypocrisy is astounding. They initially gave the money to DM as MDC-T, now he is trying to reconstitute a new alliance, but still calling it MDC-A. The new gazette now says the money will be given to MDC-A'
3] @Welshman_Ncube:

'This is a new DM led MDC-A, not the one previously led by NC which won those votes. This DM led MDC-A now includes PDP party led by Matibenga who was in a rivalry alliance led by Mujuru. We are now being told we must believe they are part of the MDC-A.."
4] @Welshman_Ncube

"Who were the leaders of the MDC-A? There was MDC-T led by NC, PDP led by Biti, MDC led by myself, MCD led by Guchutu, Zanu Ndonga, TZ led by Ngarivhume. Ask yourself where are these leaders & parties which constituted the MDC-A? They are still with us.."
5] @Welshman_Ncube

"I'm still in the ALLIANCE, so is the MDC which I led then. So is PDP which was led by Biti. Even though Ngarivhume left, most of his leaders are members of MDC-A National Executive. He left but certainly isnt with Mwonzora. Zanu Ndonga isn't with Mwonzora.."
6] @Welshman_Ncube

"So who is with Mwonzora who was in the MDC-ALLIANCE? Seemingly there is Guchutu in there, but they still continue to call themselves MDC-ALLAINCE although they're created a completely new entity."
7] @Welshman_Ncube

"Everything is seemingly back to normal, but why are we not having by-elections? ZanuPF is holding rallies but wont allow by-elections so that they can continue to reinforce the lie that DM leads some political party with support, and the official opposition"
8] @Welshman_Ncube

"You can see the fear in the Mwonzora group, of any election. They dont want any election in 2023. What sort of Opposition does not want an election? It tell you one thing, they are fake Opp captured by the military government, which is doing its bidding."
9] @Welshman_Ncube

"All these things are based on lies. We are now being told whoever leads MDC-T at any given time, automatically leads MDC-A. There's no such provision in the agrement. What was there was a provision specifically stating that the 2018 candidate shall be MRT.."
10] @Welshman_Ncube

"In his absence (MRT), MDC-T shall second a candidate to the ALLIANCE subject to the approval of the rest of the ALLIANCE partners. That is all. The provisions of the ALLIANCE delt with what would happen in the event of us winning and becoming government"
11] @Welshman_Ncube

"There is nothing in that MDC ALLIANCE agreement which provides for what is now being claimed, that the MDC-ALLIANCE shall subsist into 2023 being led by whoever is MDC-T President. All of that is errant nonsense. There's nothing like that in the agreement"
12] @Welshman_Ncube

"All these things (Mwonzora led MDC-A) are make-believe things which are a creation in order to constitute a false narrative that an Opp created by the State is in fact the official Opp. The official Opp is the Opp that is chosen by the pple at an election."
13] @Welshman_Ncube

"If you don't recognize the MDC-A that contested in 2018 and say it doesnt exist, or didnt exist, and doesnt or didn't have a legal persona of it's own and therefore cannot claim any money, noone then will be entitled to that money.."
14] @Welshman_Ncube

"The Political Parties Finance Act doesn't say constituency elements of an Alliance will be given that money. Either that money belongs to the MDC-A led by Chamisa, which contested those elections in 2018, or doesn't belong to anyone."
15] @Welshman_Ncube

"You have a system which is trying to prop up a state created fake Opposition. An Opposition which fears elections and doesn't even want to go to elections in 2023".
16] @Welshman_Ncube

"(in 2023), there will be no confusion. Mark my word. Yes there will be a lot of hot air, debate, anxiety among a lot of people, but the ordinary average voter in Zimbabwe is very clear."
17] @Welshman_Ncube

"Even if you assume (2023) there is MDC-A led by DM, MDC-A led by NC with our open palm, & Chamisa's face, & Mwonzora dare puts his own face on his papers, people will know the face of Chamisa & the face of the state sponsored opp & will vote accordingly.."
18] @Welshman_Ncube

"The only risks involved (2023) are state shenanigans, relating to candidate nomination, allowing & disallowing. Using the usual practice, mark my word, pple are anxious. They want this election tomorrow so they can speak & reaffirm who they support & want.
19] @Welshman_Ncube

"If Chamisa walks anywhere, he is mobbed by people who love and support him. People who feel inspired that he will lead Zimbabwe into a different and better future for themselves, something that Mnangagwa or anyone in ZanuPF wouldn't do at any given time.
20] @Welshman_Ncube

"The ALLIANCE is us. It is made up of MDC founding leaders. We were called by MRT to his house (myself & TB) when he was relatively sick. He said guys we've let down the people of Zim when we split and I want to leave a legacy of a united people project.."
21] @Welshman_Ncube

"The whole idea of the MDC-A was to bring being the constituency elements of the original MDC before the splits. The whole ideas was to bring back the humpty-dumpty and that's what we did. We promised MRT that the legacy of a united MDC would be realised."
22] @Welshman_Ncube

"Forget about the state created project that is the judicially constructed MDC-T. It has nothing to do with the concept of the people's project. I'm not going anywhere. Nelson Chamisa isn't going anywhere. Tendai Biti isn't going anywhere.."
23] @Welshman_Ncube

"We are in the MDC-ALLIANCE. We are the MDC-A. By whatever name we are called, or will be called at any given time, what matters is that we represent the aspirations of the people of Zimbabwe."
24] @Welshman_Ncube

"Some people will despaire when they read all this disinformation. Let us remember we have a military government in this country, and one of things military governments are good at, is infiltration. Go all all over the world and you'll see this."
25] @Welshman_Ncube

"There is no circumstance that'll have me join POLAD. If we assume that Chamisa will wake up one morning and say I'm joking POLAD, I'll say thank you very much I will not be part of joining a ZanuPF project which is conceptually extremely faulty"
26] @Welshman_Ncube

"We are heavily infiltrated by a military regime which has deployed it's own people among us, but we are strong & will always be strong. If we aren't strong enough to survive disinformation & infiltration, then we are not strong enough to lead this country."
27] @Welshman_Ncube

"For the 2023 elections, we are as prepared as we can be, given the hypocrisy around the implementation of covid-19 regulations. If as if they are made for MDC-A. Everyone else can do their political activities, including the Mwonzoras of this world."
28] @Welshman_Ncube

"The moment any of our pple do political activities, the state descends on them. We have 100s of cadres facing criminal challenges around violating covid regulations. But baring these obstacles, we are ready. What really matters is we are not outside the pple"
29] @Welshman_Ncube

"We need an electoral environment free of chicanery & cheating. Where votes count. Where counting & tallying votes is transparent & open without disappearing servers. Where you dont stop counting midstream when you see you're losing, as happened in 2018".
30] @Welshman_Ncube

"The economy is now worse. Partially due to covid pandemic and the absence of a decisive scientific plan of dealing with the virus. Some sectors of the economy are closed, some open. It doesn't make sense half the time, and this affects the economy."
31] @Welshman_Ncube

"..but at the bottom of all this (poor economy), if you don't have the stamp of legitimacy andpeople have no confidence in you and have not reposed that confidence in you to lead, through elections, you'll never be able to turn around this economy."
32] @Welshman_Ncube

"There's lack of confidence by Zimbabweans in the leadership that claims it has their mandate. As long as that's the case, the economy isn't heading anywhere. 2ndly if you don't have the confidence of the international community & financial institutions..."
33] @Welshman_Ncube

" if you have no capacity to conduct foreign relations in a manner that creates friends for everyone, rather than opponents & enemies, you're not going to turn around the economy. You need a combination of the confidence of your pple & the intrnl community."
34] @Welshman_Ncube

"there are many lessons from Zambia. Some are strategic & will be kept internal. However one of the obvious ones is,Zambian youths protected their own future by registering, voting & a taking responsibility to protect that vote. They waited during counting."
35] @Welshman_Ncube

"There are also strategic differences that you cant transplant from Zambia. Notwithstanding the dictatorial tendencies of Lungu, Zambia isn't a military State & has never been. They've a history of party power transfer, notwithstanding Lungu's attempts"
36] @Welshman_Ncube

"Not all Zambian state institutions are captured by the army. A large part of Zim's problems today, regrettably is because the judiciary has abandoned its responsibilities. Much of the attempts to capture the Opp lies squarely at the doors of the judiciary".
37] @Welshman_Ncube

"Much of this nonsense about DM being given our money; about a party which didn't contest elections being given MPs & allowed to recall them, is the fault of the judiciary. If we had a Judiciary which pursues justice, we wouldn't be having this nonsense."
38] @Welshman_Ncube

"Noone would even attempt this nonsense, because they would know that the law is very clear and the courts would pronounce clearly. Now anything goes. At the door of the judiciary, lies this nonsense happening today, a difference from what happens in Zambia"
38] @Welshman_Ncube

"We are however happy HH has always been clear about who his friends are. We worked 2gether as Opp in the region. But others we worked in the past, when they got state power, suddenly became part of the establishment instead of advancing a dff SADC trajectory"
40] @Welshman_Ncube

"What we need is a SADC with democratic governments everywhere; which promotes democracy; which is always siding with the people; which does everything to ensure in its member countries, the will of the people prevails and we have not been having that."
41] @Welshman_Ncube

"We've had sufficient changes in gov, in SADC to have a sufficient balance of power in favour of democracy in the region were it not that some of the leaders previously in Opp,once in power, begin to mimic the horrible habits of those they opposed yesterday"
42] @Welshman_Ncube

"Gukurahundi will remain a political, social & economic issue in this country. It's underlying causes are still with us. Vandalism of plaques commemorating its victims is bcoz e political ideology which gave birth to it, is still at e center of our politics"
43] @Welshman_Ncube

"There is no sincerity & serious intent in seeking to deal with Gukurahundi.Political leaders are simply hoping they will wake up one day, and the issue is gone. It's the state vandalizing these plaques. With no sincerity, Gukurahundi will remain unresolved.
44] @Welshman_Ncube

"Our core message is that, it is important for us as Zimbabweans to take political responsibility for our own future. Don't wait for Nelson Chamisa,Tendai Biti,Lynette Kore or any MDC-A leader to knock at your door to persuade you to secure your own future."
45] @Welshman_Ncube

"Become an organizer, mobilize, in your own communities, 4 change.Let this not be a struggle between MDC-A & ZanuPF. Let itb a struggle btwn Zimbabweans & military captured Zanu which still fronts itself as a civilian entity when it's now under the military"
46] @Welshman_Ncube

"1st step of taking responsibility is ensuring you & everyone in your community is registered & come election day, we all vote in our millions. It's a lesson from Zambia. If & when we take responsibility, no amount of rigging can defeat the will of the pple"
47] That's the summary of the responses given by @mdczimbabwe VP, Prof @Welshman_Ncube

Decided to do this for the benefit of those who can't watch from the link, for whatever reason (though I never envisioned doing 47 tweets🤣)

1] Some bit of context to this....

First challenge is that some of us have always been opposed to the rule of ZanuPF, while some of them are opposed to the rule of Mnangagwa.

The fear is that, we may he pursing different types of "change"!

#RegisterToVoteZW
2] Second challenge is...

They want to exonerate their association with ZanuPF misrule for all their adult life by reminding us that "MDC supported the coup" in 2017.

In doing so, they expose their hidden anger, towards citizens & the MDC, for "aiding their fall from grace."
3] Politically, the coup became bigger than MDC.

Citizens wanted the albatross, RG gone, by means necessary or unnecessary.

Ironically, they wont admit to have played different roles in ensuring that there wouldnt be a change of government through the ballot in Zimbabwe.

1] This development has to be the worst kept secret.

As expected, the puppet party is moving for the ALLIANCE name.

The concern for me, is that the democratic alternative risks being left internally focused, the reason why the regime sponsored the infamous SC judgement.
2] The hypocrites in the puppet party (28 July), claimed that only 3 parties constitute their MDC-A coalition Principals Forum.

This was in response to the Guchutu expulsion letter.

Fast forward to August, their coalition now has 6 Principals all over gain.

It's all hypocrisy.
3] This "coalition" without Chamisa, Ncube, Biti is absolutely useless.

None amongst the parties & "leaders" who constitute this coalition was voted for in 2018.

Soon, they will be faced with the conundrum of choosing the best useless candidate amongst themselves, for 2023.

1] Was looking forward to seeing a tweet like that one tagged below.

Will 'ZanuPF people' ever own up to their actions?

Suddenly ED's spin doctors, Nick Mangwana and Charamba must he treated as "victims" after being exposed for their senseless lies and vitriol respectively.
2] So it's okay for ED's spokesperson to insult HH using vernacular & a ghost account?

Translating & exposing this to HH and/or his officials is "gaslighting"?

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'm sure ZanuPF will soon criminalize this, using their proposed cyber laws
3] Again, noone provoked whoever wrote that embarrassing lie, of a whole President running around hotels looking for Mnangagwa!

It's just propaganda gone horribly wrong.

Noone should feel sad for Nick Mangwana now that the lies he shared are being exposed.

1] Someone reading this from mukoma Goerge perhaps will only focus on the "chinhu chine vene vacho" mantra.

These "madhara ehondo nemahovhorisi" have monopolized the country and only wish to take turn to rule it.

Yet this isn't all that Goerge is attempting to do here... Image
2] What Goerge is actually trying to do, is promote voter apathy.

Don't get it twisted, it's not just the democratic alternative that is "learning" from both the Malawi & Zambia political developments.

ZanuPF is learning also.

They are worried sick and are dreading elections. Image
3] That tweet from Goerge, equally betrays his and ZanuPF's collective fear of @nelsonchamisa

When you see the spin doctor of a regime that is propagating the narrative that Chamisa is finished, continuously attacking him daily, know that they don't believe their own lies. Image

1] 🤣

As much as this is funny, it actually captures what lies in store for the new Zambian Leader.

Indeed failure is an orphan whilst success has many parents.

Just like what Douglas is attempting to do here, many will try to associate themselves with the Zambian transition.
2] DM knows his party paid no solidarity to HH.

His Treasure predicted (& perhaps hoped for) a Lungu victory.

He equally knows he has no card to use, to link himself to Bally & their fight against Lungu.

That won't stop him from smuggling his "rational disputation" mantra.
3] DM also knows his mantra has no local, let alone regional traction.

He also knows there is no dispute between himself and ED.

He also knows there is no rationality in siding with a dictatorship & recalling elected representatives.

But like most politicians, he lacks morals.

1] Perhaps the actual problem isn't with those you enjoy grouping & patronizing.

Perhaps you're the one failing to come to grips with the reality that social media isn't a church were someone gets to play Senior Prophet.

Here we are equal & every narrative will be challenged.
2] To those who have become fatigued and/or disillusioned with the trajectory the movement has/is taking, we have no option but to find each other.

Lets focus on FIXING the change vehicle opposed to needlessly exchanging blows.

The agenda remains winning Zimbabwe for change.
3] To the intellectuals, any narrative that equalizes ZanuPF & MDC-A is bar talk.

It will be ferociously resisted & mercilessly attacked.

Any "intellect" that fails to recognize the "weapons of the weak", is itself nonexistent.

The weak will always find ways of fighting back.
