Have you ever heard of Karamnasha River! So this thread is going to take a dig from Mythological to Scientific aspects of this river.
Karamnasha originates in the Kaimur District of Bihar at a height of 350 m and flows through between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. It covers Sonebhadra, Chandauli and Ghazipur from UP and Kaimur and Buxar in Bihar. It joins River Ganga at Bada in Ghazipur and Chausa in Bihar.
The length of the river is 192 km out of which major area is covered in UP. The river belongs to fall of Rajdari and covers major plain areas of East Up and Bihar. Other rivers which join this are Chandra prabha, khajuri and Durgavati.
Interestingly all the rivers in India have mention in the ancient Vedas. So there are some mythological stories for this river too. Karamnasa as the name suggest means Destroyer of Good Karma. This river is said to cursed and it is said that it destroys the Good Deeds of Person.
As according to one of the legends, once Rishi Vishvamitra through his penance got the power to make a new universe according to his wish. So, he created whole new universe and then created his first human being named Trishanku and he was made to rule universe created by Him.
There was fight between Indra and Vishwa mitra and Trishanku was suspended upside down in this process. His saliva created this river. Other stories suggest that this was due to fight between Vishwamitra and Vashistha that lead to suspension of Satyavrat, father of HarishChandra.
Another Mythological story relates to part where Varun Dev filled belly of Ravan with water when he was returning with Shivling from Himalaya. The river is said to be belonging to that discharge and hence this adds to defiling properties of this river.
It took a long time built a bridge on this river as everytime the plan failed due to the soil texture and river bed. A detail narrative of bridge building on this river is mentioned in the link below.

Let's read a little about the education system in India and some statistics about ongoing education system.
But I have question, is being literate is also being educated? If, answer is no, what's the parameter of education today? Do we need Gurukul?
Swami Vivekananda rightly said about education once: “Education is the manifestation of perfection already in the men.” But again question rises how to define perfection. There is a famous quote that no body is perfect. But when it comes to education perfection can be defined.
Indian education system dates back to Vedic times. We had Gurus like Vashisth, Vishwamitra, Dronacharya, Kashyap & many more. Gurukul was residential schooling & origin dates back to around 5000 BC. Even if history has been moulded girls were also educated in those times.

Opened Facebook today for some professional reason. Saw a Senior updated Her Promotion to a high Admin level. She looked happy. Flash back started to 2012. She was much senior to me and she left no stone unturned to do wrong with me at career front.
She did alot of my image tarnishing and character maligning among her peers which slowly reached to my friends to and I suffered major setbacks at career and personal fronts. She had been one of the person who contributed to my failures of 1 year. I never answered her back.
I never blamed her or anything. No fight nothing. Finally, today when I saw her growing and reaching to a height which she deserved at professional front I might have felt angry, sad or jealous. To my surprise none of these feelings attacked me today. Instead I smiled seeing her.

How many of you are aware about the problem of e-waste epidemic in India? Let's go through it in a small thread.
Let's know what's an e-waste! The daily dependency of human beings on electronic gadgets and their upgraded versions has led to a habit of using and discarding nature. This is the point where e-waste comes into picture. Fridge, TV, mobile phones, laptops, other add to e-waste.
India is world's 3rd largest producer of e-waste and produces around 3.23 million tonne of it per year. Just ranking below US and China. Saddest part of this lies in the fact that 95% of it is still handled by informal sector.
