Chief Justice of India N V Ramana to be the Chief Guest at an event to mark 22nd Foundation Day of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Hyderabad & 128th anniversary of Chicago address of Swami Vivekananda. Event begins at 11 am today #supremecourt#SwamiVivekananda
Rev. Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, VP, Ramakrishna Math Mission delivers the introductory speech #supremecourt#SwamiVivekananda
CJI NV Ramana delivers his Chief Guest address: Swamijis are the symbol of renouncing wordly pleasures. I am delighted to be part of this 22nd foundation day of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence #supremecourt#SwamiVivekananda
CJI: Approximately 19 lakh students have benefited from the training. We are also celebrating the 120th Chicago address in 1893 by Swami Vivekananda. His teachings have great relevance for all times to come. Spotlight was put on India back then which was known only as a colony
CJI: He was prophetic. Long before egalitarian constitution was formed, Swami ji had propogated the concept of seculiarism. religion should be above superstition and rigidity.
CJI: Swami Vivekananda had said hope of the future lies at the hands of the youth.... character of the nation depends on character of youth.
CJI: history is a witness of the power yielded by youth. freedom struggle history will be incomplete without the mention of Birsa Munda or the trio of Bhagat Singh and others or whether it be Alluri Sitarama Raju who was shot during resistance movement.
CJI: It is imperative of the youth to be aware of social realities or challenges. any change in social trajectory germinates from the youth.
CJI: More than 45 percent of India's population is youth. This is the age of discovery and dreams. Youngsters are the chain which binds us to a greater future, this is what Swami Vivekanandaji said.
CJI: World may throw challenges at you but you must fight the good fight. Perseverance and patience are two key ingredients of success.
CJI: I come from rural background but now there is world of knowledge at the ease of a click. this ease comes with responsibility to be socially and politically aware. Visit slums to aware of the divide which exists between rural and urban.
CJI: It is well established that voice and power of youth can change the world. It can help in becoming free and educated citizen, educational institution have huge responsibility to make them aware of rights and responsibilities.
CJI: I am reminded of words of wisdom of Swami Vivekananda:
"in a day when there are no problems, you know that you are on a wrong way."
