How to sell air (information) on Twitter using copywriting...

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
There are many elements to selling online.

- Scarcity
- Proof
- Testimonials
- Hooks
- Stories

And a lot of others.

But there's one nobody is talking about...

And if you're not able to sell...
It's most likely this one is missing:
And it's "value".

“vALuE?” You say with disgust. “That’s NOT my problem.”

I know. I know.
But…

When you’re selling air… erm… I mean… “information”…

A person can get the same information on YouTube for free - generally speaking. Right?

So…
If you didn’t build enough “value” to the information that you’re selling…

It virtually has no value.
Because you’re not selling a car.

A car has a value that the buyer can estimate based on manufacturer, years on the road etc…

But information? It has no value. And…
There are only three ways to build value.

1. Time.
2. Effort.
3. Money.

You either spent a lot of time learning how to do what you’re gonna teach…

Or you invested a lot of effort… or lastly - you spent a lot of money.

Here are examples:
Time - I spent 7 years learning how to write good copy

Effort - I went to the highest mountain to meet the only monk in the world who writes good copy

Money - I paid the monk from the previous bullshit example $7,000 to teach me the art of copywriting.

Before we finish…
Last two important thoughts:

Thought #1: If you can combine the three - do so.

“I spent 7 years walking to the highest mountain where I met the monk who I paid $7,000 to teach me copywriting”

Thought #2: please try not to use bullshit value building.

Here’s why:
The more “extreme” your story sounds - the less believable it is. So…

Less believable value = less conversions.

Find the sweet spot. Build value without sounding like a liar.

Pro tip: use your real experience. You have a good story. Just learn how to write it.
I wish everyone who was trying to sell on Twitter would see this.

RT if you want them to see it.

I also wish all the beginner copywriters around here could charge A LOT to build such value-based sales pages for others.

If you're a newbie copywriter - don't RT.
Shhhh 🤫

The number one MISTAKE Gumroad creators are guilty of…

Which could double their sales when fixed…

And it’s…
Drums…

The first button on their sales page.
Lemme tell you why.

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
Here are some numbers for you.

I am running cold traffic from FB ads.

Our checkout page conversion rate over all funnels is 40-60%.

People on Twitter posting their conversion rates being 2-10%.

How is that possible?!

Good question.
Get this:
Having a button at the top of your page is almost like having an exit button there.

Pretty much same numbers.

But why do I say that?
In order to understand…

Copywriting gurus are lying to you.

They say “use benefits not features”.

They are WRONG.
And because of their dusty by-the-book-techniques…

Your conversion rates suffer.

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<
This is not a click bait.
I mean it.

They’re wrong.
Let me explain why.
But before…

Let’s understand what features are…

And what benefits are…

Simply put:
Features

A list of things that are part of your product or service.

For example:

My service is copywriting.

Features:

• I write quickly
• I write persuasively
• I know how to do research

Those are benefits.
And…

If you have less than 1,000 followers…

And you’re spending your time writing tweets and threads…

You’re doing it wrong.

How I grew 35-60 followers per day when I had less than 1,000 followers:

Almost without tweeting.

>> A thread 🧵 <<
Big account grow simply by getting engagement on their tweets.

Engagement shows their tweets to more people.

They engage.
Go into the Twitter profile - and follow.

Their friends see it. They engage. And visit the profile - snowball.

You can’t do that.
Your tweets below 1,000 followers get very low engagement.
If at all.

So how do you grow?
You use the engagement of big accounts.

Here’s how you do it (and how I did it):

How to cast a witch-like spell on your readers...

that would FORCE them to read EVERYTHING?

A master thread 🧵
I've built several sales pages that made 6 figures.
The secret sauce?

The reader reads the first sentence..
then "wakes up" from the trance only after purchasing.

There are many techniques to that.
But if to sum it up?

curiosity + remove friction + transitions = trance
Make the copy easy to check out

If you don't space your sentences and paragraphs correctly?

Your text will look like it's a difficult read.
And if a reader wouldn't wanna check it out?

He wouldn't read it either.

You lost.
He's back to playing pokemon.

Marketers are like drug-dealers.

We use chemicals in our reader’s minds to get them addicted…

There are 4 chemicals.
And if you learn how to use them…

Tell your competitors to start praying.

[A THREAD]
Dopamine - the chemical of distraction.

“I gotta go clean the dishes”…

“Oh, Facebook.”

Look for a person’s current addictions. Specifically, what is their chosen method of distraction?

HINT: It’s usually content.
Oxytocin - the chemical of connection

Where does your audience get their hits of oxytocin?

Do they watch Tony Robbins? If so - talk about him in your marketing.

Who and what are they connected to?

Ads that made $10,000,000?

Are at your fingertips
Here’s how to find them

// A Thread \\
Go to swiped.co for a library of legendary ads.

It’s free.

You can also find emails there.
Go to FB ad library.

facebook.com/ads/library/

You can find any brand or advertiser and see ALL their ads.

Note how long an ad has been running. The longer - the better it’s performing.
