Let’s discuss why masturbation is demonized, and how body control morphs into religious indoctrination. While this topic applies to both flogging the bishop and pressing the devil’s doorbell, it affects men and women differently today.

I’m going to start with circumcision and how it was adopted by Christian fundamentalists to prevent boys from feeling carnal pleasure through slapping the one eyed salamander. In the Victorian era both male and female circumcision were practiced on children.

Female Genital Mutilation was thought to stop “hysteria” in women, which was a “mental illness” thought to be caused by a woman’s reproductive organs, by *checks notes* MALE doctors. 🚨Fun fact: hysteria was actually caused by women being tired of men’s fucking stupid shit.

They believed if a woman no longer sought sexual pleasure she wouldn’t be so dang unhappy. In a turn of events literally everyone could see coming, the exact opposite was true. Many women died from infection and serious complications, so the practice did not take off.

Sadly, for young men the practice of removing their foreskin, took off. No pun intended. The idea was that leaving their penis tips exposed to the elements they would become desensitized. Boys would no longer masturbate because they would feel no pleasure. Who thought that up?

The inventor of cornflakes. Seriously, the inventor of cornflakes. This may *not* shock you, but cornflakes were also made to reduce people’s pleasure. He thought people liked food too much, so he made flavorless grain flakes to alleviate people of their joy.

He believed masturbation was a damning sin because anything that felt good was inherently evil. For some reason, which I can’t explain, people were like “yes! Let’s eat these tasteless flakes and cut our kid’s foreskin off!” This is true and defies all logic, ever.

After many generations we have forgotten this historical absurdity but men will still opt for the procedure to be done to their sons, so that their son’s penises will resemble their own. It’s humble beginnings as religious torture have continued due to sausage vanity.

So if you ever wonder why your dong skin got snipped, it’s because a puritanical cornflake mogul had mental issues, and people have rolled with it, for hundreds of years, for no reason other than religion and conceit.

So how does body control lead to religious indoctrination?

In order to make people do whatever you tell them to, you have to make them hate themselves. You have to convince them that something both natural and compulsory is evil, and they’re bad for doing it. You tell them that due to that “sin” they will burn in hell…

You then show them forgiveness for breaking arbitrary rules you have placed on their bodies once they confess and prove loyalty. You show them love, while simultaneously making sure they know they can’t love themselves, because they’re impure.

Once you make someone dependent on you for their self worth, you own them. That is why every religion seeks to control premarital sex and self pleasure.

Women bore the brunt of this, the original sin of eating the apple was an allegory for sex.

The serpent was Adam’s wangdoodle. That means God’s only rule in the garden of Eden was “clap cheeks and get clapped.”Poor Eve saw Adam’s noodle and thought, “imma fuck around and find out.” Now, women have painful childbirth and periods for all of eternity.

Turns out women were an easy mark because they naturally sought out monogamy, as it increased the chance of survival for them and their offspring if men stayed with them.

Piety also allowed for us to indulge in two of our favorite hobbies; self loathing and judging others.

I’d say honestly we played a massive part in our own subjugation, including continuing it by indoctrinating our children. So let’s break that cycle… please.

Here’s how: STOP SLUT SHAMING OTHER WOMEN. STOP FORCING YOUR CHILDREN TO BELIEVE THEY ARE EVIL.

STOP DEMANDING MODESTY OF OTHER WOMEN. LOVE YOURSELF. LOVE YOUR SISTERS. VOTE IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF ALL PEOPLE. Let’s move forward together with support and kindness.❤️❤️❤️ (and all the bean flicking, and wang wrestling we want! Shame free!)
