The Senate Intelligence told the Justice Department cnn.com/2020/08/16/pol… they suspected Donald Trump Jr., Kushner and Steve Bannon, may have lied to them.
Trump told Mueller, in writing, that he didn't remember talking to Roger Stone about WikiLeaks in 2016. They had in fact talked repeatedly about WikiLeaks. It's preposterous to believe Trump didn't rememer that. He lied. He wasn't charged. motherjones.com/politics/2020/…
Hopefully Michael Sussman, who is charged with lying to the FBI (apnews.com/article/donald…) and Kurt Volker, who appears to have repeatedly lied under oath to Congress, will both be treated fairly under the law. motherjones.com/politics/2021/…
While we're here, it's worth noting that Democrats and a former Mueller deputy have accused Bill Barr, the father of the Durham investigation, of lying under oath to Congress. That is in addition to other fibs that multiple judges have ripped Barr over. lawfareblog.com/there-perjury-….

Giuliani expected to be in the film, but his main role was to use his celebrity to help raise money from conservative donors, according to people involved. He was paid more than $200,000 and use of a private jet for this. motherjones.com/politics/2021/…
After his 6/20/19 interview, Barrack’s spokesman said that "Barrack’s lawyer had again contacted the prosecutors’ office and 'confirmed they have no further questions for Mr. Barrack.'"
Didn't hold up well. nytimes.com/2019/07/28/us/…
"The defendants, using their positions of power and influence in a presidential election year, engaged in a conspiracy to illegally advance and promote the interests of the United Arab Emirates in this country..." justice.gov/opa/pr/former-…
Spokesman for Barrack: “Mr. Barrack has made himself voluntarily available to investigators from the outset. He is not guilty and will be pleading not guilty.”
Volker, it seems, overtly lied in his public Nov '19 testimony (not just in his Oct. deposition justsecurity.org/67314/chart-si…) And he lied about knowing that Giuliani had pushed Ukraine for a quid pro quo: investigate Biden and you get normal relations. motherjones.com/politics/2019/…
Even now, this still matters. Volker misled not just Congress but the public about the Ukraine scandal. And his phony claims muddled the already confusing issue and fed the idea that there is no truth, just partisan assertion.
CNN's report this week on a July 2019 call in which Giuliani pressured Ukraine's government to announce an investigation into Biden wasn't just bad for Rudy. It also revealed that former Ambassador Kurt Volker made false statements to Congress. motherjones.com/politics/2021/…
In his public 11/19/19 testimony Volker said: "At no time was I aware of or knowingly took part in an effort to urge Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Biden." False. In a July 2019 call Volker took part in, Giuliani pressed a Zelensky aide for a Biden investigation.
Republicans cited Volker's inaccurate testimony to defend Trump in 2019. Lindsey Graham: “Volker, the special envoy, said there was no quid pro quo...I find the whole process to be a sham and I’m not going to legitimize it.” Jim Jordan made the same claim: foxnews.com/media/rep-jord…
I am here on the 102nd floor of one World Trade Center for the “First anniversary Celebration of the New Federal State of China, Guo Wengui/Miles Kwok’s and Steve Bannon’s anti CCP org. Themes: China created Covid in a lab; China hacked voting machines to rig the election.
Mike Lindell is confident the Supreme Court will rule 9-0 by August to “pull this election down.” Trump “is gonna be back in by the end of August,” Lindell says.
Back in March, we reported a video that showed a bunch of Oath Keepers who later stormed the Capitol taking a firearms training course. motherjones.com/politics/2021/…
Most of these Oath Keepers had already been charged with conspiracy in March. But one guy who part of the training and stormed the Capitol was still uncharged/unidentified, despite holding up a certificate with his name on it during the firearms training.
In a new indictment Sunday, prosecutors charged four more Oath Keepers including Joseph Hackett, a chiropractor from Sarasota, Fla. He was the unidentified guy at the firearms training and in the "stack" of Oath Keepers who stormed the Capitol on 1/6. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
