Right now we’re discussing with one of our team of parents the absolutely agonising decision they have to make for Monday.

There are many many parents facing this right now in the U.K.

They’ve kept their primary child remote learning and refused to return them to an indoor setting that has no scientifically recognised mitigations for an airborne virus.

The school already has cases.

The school have given them an ultimatum, that they expect the child in school on Monday or they will start the prosecution process.

(The wording was a little more sinister than that ‘fines or something else’ implying social services referrals??)

This isn’t a unique occurrence, this has happened to many!

On the same day that the information from PHE is released to say scientists have discovered a new mutation of the Delta variant in the U.K. that could make it more vaccine resistant.

#LetsGetThisDone @nadhimzahawi let’s get all scientifically recognised mitigations for an airborne virus in schools and stop unnecessarily and knowingly exposing children to increased risk of infection.

Education is important BUT not at the expense of their health!

Solidarity with all of the parents facing this!

Solidarity with all the school staff bullied to attend workplaces that do not have scientifically recognised mitigations.

Solidarity with all the children currently already infected with a novel virus who’s long term effects aren’t yet fully understood.

Solidarity with all the family members who have already been unnecessarily exposed because their child or spouse attends unsafe schools.

Solidarity with all groups who continue fighting for @educationgovuk to STOP unnecessarily and knowingly exposing children, school staff and their to increased risk of infection.

WE WILL NOT GIVE UP!
