If we defaulted on our debt, especially in 2020, when TFG was in office and created a $23.7 Trillion dollar debt, the question came back again.

Would the GOP feel it is necessary to create news around a debt default to screw with the markets, create chaos at banking/treasury, stop payments to Social Security and Medicare recipients, fuck with the stock market just because they don’t want infrastructure to go forward?

Would it be possible that they don’t want regulations because they know they will be caught with illegal activity? Will they go as far as to create a recession as in 2008? Remember in 2013?

In all cases prior to this, the GOP backed down and raised the ceiling. Would this mean that the GOP is tired of raising revenue on billionaires? Raising revenue is the best way to reduce debt. Something every Democratic President has done.

Will the GOP bankrupt our nation because they don’t want good roads, fair taxes and democratic voting rights? Will they continue to whittle away the rights of women and minorities because they are losing control?

Is all this talk just a way to make money on the downturn of the markets? Is that the real story or does this help push the narrative that helps China and Japan (which holds most of our debt)? When will these questions be asked?
