• you don't have to be nice by "staying FB friends"
• If they're constantly negative, CUT BAIT
"But they're family!"
Doesn't matter. Toxic is toxic.
Forgive them and then release them.
Break up with processed sugar
She's toxic too.
• start by cutting sugar from your drinks; no Pepsi, no Coke, no juice (yea, I said it)
• cut desserts including pancakes and waffles (yes, those are desserts)
Or
Stop cold turkey like my wife & I did in January.
You'll live
Move your body 30 minutes a day
You don't have to get a gym membership for this.
Walking or biking has massive benefits, especially for mental health.
You don't need to do High Intensity Interval Training.
Imagine walking or biking in Central Park.
Like that.
Meditate 10 minutes a day
Doctors should be prescribing more meditation and less pills.
• meditation is proven to make you happier
• meditation helps manage anxiety, stress and depression
• meditation improves concentration and attention
Start w/ 5 min. a day for a week
If you can't do that, start with 1 minute a day & work your way up from there.
(DM me for a link to the best YouTube video I've ever watched about the power of the mind by Dr. Joe Dispenza)
Meditating is a superpower.
10 minutes a day is enough.
Drink more water
Trust me, you're not drinking enough. Drink 1/2 an ounce for every pound you weigh.
Water
• carries oxygen to your cells
• boosts skin health
• regulates body temperature which helps you think more clearly
• helps and prevents headaches.
Your brain is strongly influenced by your hydration status.
Drink more water.
Make sure you're getting enough sleep
Adults need 7 to 8 hours. You do to. You're not special
• study the Circadian Rhythm
• get direct sunlight early (even 5 minutes)
• block blue light after 6pm
Easily summed up:
1. Curate your social media 2. Stay away from all news 3. Cut toxic people from your life 4. Break up with processed sugar 5. Move your body 30 min. a day 6. Meditate 10 minutes a day 7. Drink more water 8. Get enough sleep
Do that for 30-60 days and you won't recognize yourself.
I'm 55 years old. All that ⬆️⬆️⬆️ comes from doing it, from experience.
Not from theory.
You have no idea how badly I want you to win.
Send me a DM and I'll send you the video. Changed my life.
Todd: Hello… Operator…listen to me…I can’t speak very loud. – This is an emergency. I’m a passenger on a United flight to San Francisco.. We have a situation here….Our plane has been hijacked…..can you understand me?
Lisa: (exhaling a deep breath to herself) I understand… Can the hijackers see you talking on the phone?
Todd: No
Lisa: Can you tell me how many hijackers are on the plane?
Todd: There are three that we know of.
Lisa: Can you see any weapons? What kind of weapons do they have?
Todd: Yes…. they don’t have guns….they have knives – they took over the plane with knives.
Lisa: Do you mean…like steak knives?
Todd: No, these are razor knives…like box cutters.
Lisa: Can you tell what country these people are from?
I started preparing a document for my wife titled,
“Babe, If I die unexpectedly”
I know. Weird.
It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years but haven’t had the time.
- thread -
I’m not a big fan of flying.
I have to force myself to think about something else because if I think about the giant metal tube I’m in, moving through the air at 575 miles per hour, I freak out.
According to a friend of mine who’s a pilot, “I have control issues.”
And so, every time I fly without my wife, I think about writing this document.
My initial thought was to tell her where all the passwords are, give her a list of important phone numbers, like our accountants (in both countries), doctors, partners, etc.
